We stayed in 613 and were pleasantly surprised with the location of this condo. It was perfect for us as it had a beautiful beach for both swimming and snorkeling nearby. We watched the sunsets every night. It was also centrally located for any activities we wanted to do and many grocery stores, restaurants and food trucks within a short distance. The pool wasn’t overly big but was fine for our needs. Great communication regarding check in and check out. Room was very clean. We would definitely rent this condo again!

My wife and I stayed there for two weeks, and it was an amazing vacation. The complex is quiet, clean, has all the amenities and is an amazing view. You can’t ask for more on the island of Maui. All that said, the specific unit we were in was lacking a few Essential kitchen things. Did it impact our vacation? Not at all. Still some updates would be required. Other than that, highly recommend this place and we will be back!

We booked this room because we had planned a family trip for my mother's 60th birthday and traveled with 3 other families that also booked rooms in the same building. As soon as we walked in we noticed the disgusting carpet that is stained, worn, wrinkled and just felt disgusting to step on. Then the pullout couch was old and broken. Just touching the cushions felt like we needed to wash our hands. Then the bedroom comforter and bed was disgusting and old. Looked orginal from 1980's same with all the furniture in the room was just old and grungy. My allergies which are not bad we're completely triggered every night with the musty nasty mix of humid carpet and old furniture and bed sheet smell. It was terrible. Then they do not provide any beach towels and only provided 5 shower towels for a 5 night 6 day stay. We had to email for more shower towels which they brought 3. Even the coffee machine was old and gross. The drapes are old and gross and had to call maintenance because the cord to pull them up and down broke. Just over all terrible place to stay! On the flip side, the other family rooms were completely updated, beautiful, smelt clean, and comfortable. This owner clearly doesn't care to upkeep or care about customer experience. We paid really good money for this unit and the only reason I gave two stars is because of the view. I would not recommend to anyone. Save your money and poor experience.

Our unit came with beach chairs and umbrella, as well as boogie boards, beach towels, snorkeling gear. The front office will loan out beach chairs too. I was happy that they had A/C even though we really didn't need it. We didn't want to leave and would be glad to return someday.

The property was wonderful and the views were amazing. The pool was under construction but the noise level was minimal. The only thing we didn’t like was there is no air conditioning. The breeze made it ok with the windows open but knowing there was no air conditioning would have been nice beforehand. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We enjoyed staying here with beach access nearby, beautiful and well kept lawns, and ocean views. Snorkelling was also available nearby, and for good swimmers, there was a fantastic area filled with coral nearby (near the boat ramp). However, during our stay we needed to move rooms and this caused a lot of disruption. It wasn't clearly communicated to us how the room change would occur and was dependent on us calling up to sort out details, such as room number and door code. The door code changed on us multiple times and it was unclear why the given codes were working for only a brief time. The room change essentially took out a day from our short stay. I would still recommend here, and we would return given our experience with how things operate there it would be a smoother experience the second time around. If we had to change rooms again, I would consider changing to another hotel/condo.

The view out the lanai is idyllic! The grounds are perfect. It's a great location. The Unit 212 itself is old & dated. My only issue and I believe this is seasonal - no a/c, not even in bedroom. It was stifling. Even with all doors, fans & windows open which meant you could hear everything. I think I would stay at complex again, but during cooler season - cause that view is to die for!

No AC and Hot...but beautiful

No AC. 95 plus degrees, 100 percent humidity, no trade winds, stagnant air, sweltering, sweating, miserable week here. All windows and doors open all the time made no difference. I get they can't control the weather but to have no AC and not even a portable unit, come on. I bought fans at Walmart just to move the hot air. On Maui for 2 months but couldn't wait to leave this place. On positive notes, the setting is beautiful. The lawns and ocean views are a 10 out of 10.

We stayed in #113 unit. Earlier comments were not very favorable on this particular unit.. Since it was our first stay at Surfside, we thought it could be for the worst. To our delight, the unit was great! It was clean and comfortable. The unit was well stocked with things one might need in the kitchen, bath, and on the beach. WE were genuinely surprised of all the details that went into making us feel so welcomed. We could walk right out on the grass that felt like a green at a country club golf course. The setting was perfect for a relaxing stay. There is no doubt the next time we return, we will request Kihei Surfside. Our only complaint, although minor, is getting used to the sounds of the birds early in the morning. Other than that, a memorable first time stay that will have lasting memories. Many thanks, Mark

Hit or miss, but GREAT location

This was my second time staying at the Kihei Surfside Condos. I stay there because I love the location and the ability to watch the sunset daily from my room. Staying here is a bit of a crap-shoot however, as each unit is owned by different owners. Last year we had a third-floor unit. We arrived to a lovely gift basket and a clean condo. This year I was in an oceanfront first floor unit; convenient for accessing the pool and grassy area. However, it was not very clean and I spent a bit of time cleaning. Since it is Maui, there is no air conditioning and you manage the tradewinds to keep you cool, which also may mean listening to other guests at the pool or elevator. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again. I may just book through their website where I can see photos of the individual condos. And that's coming from a long-standing, loyal Hotels.com fan.

Unser Appartement lag zuunterst so dass wir vom Sitzplatz direkt zum Pool laufen konnten. Das war toll. Ausser der Lage war das Appartement jedoch etwas schmuddelig, das Bett nicht so bequem und die Bezüge rochen nicht frisch und gewisse Sachen waren defekt (kein Vorhang im Schlafzimmer, nur die Schiene dafür si war es die ganze Nacht hell!) Die Infrastruktur und die Lage war jedoch super!

Great location!

My dive buddy and I stayed here for a week. We had a one-bedroom condo with an ocean view. The location is idea and we were able to walk five minutes to the dive boat. Ocean view with daily sunset viewing was amazing. Full kitchen made it easy to prepare meals when we weren't enjoying the local scene. Our condo owners left us a wonderful welcome basket full of goodies. The only drawback was no air conditioning, and when the trade winds weren't blowing it was a bit warm. Complex itself was fairly quiet other than the fact that our unit overlooked the pool. Would definitely stay here again. Free wifi was a bonus.

Great location for low key vacation

The Kihei Surfside is a fantastic resort with beautiful views and a low key feel. Maui Condo was very attentive. The room had recently been remodeled and was quite comfortable. The bed was less than comfortable but after contacting Maui Condo they came through with a memory foam topper to help aid in the comfort of the bed.
