The Intercity Hotel is in an excellent location right by the train station. I was in Kiel to take a cruise and the cruise shuttle bus parked beside it and the old town was also in walking distance. The room was comfortable and the breakfast room was great with a very good selection and views of the harbour and the cruise ships. The front staff were exceptionally couteous, friendly and helpful with things like storing my suitcase for a few hours.

Clean, nice and quite hotel. Nice staff. No bar or restaurant so perfect for work travels or if you’re passing by. Just outside the central station and harbour and in the city centre. Close to restaurants and shopping. A bit suspect people outside but that’s how it is close to central stations, but felt safe because of police presence.

The proximity to the train station and local eateries was ideal. Our room had a big picture window looking out on the harbor. A free daily intercity bus ticket was a nice bonus. There was no coffee or tea making supplies in the room but the staff provided at our request.
