Khlong Wan Vacations

I booked this hotel due to the rating (9/10). It was far from that, the bed was as hard as the floor, the pillows were so bad we had to use our travel/plane pillows instead. The hotel was up a back street about 30mins by car from the city, with no other tourists around and the only shop was a 7eleven. The street was smelly and there was huge garbage piles everywhere next to the roads. I had paid for 2 tooms for 2 nights but left the next morning not caring about a refund for the 2nd night. In a new hotel now, in the heart of the city, surrounded by markets, shops, food, nightlife and we have lovely clean big rooms with soft beds. Hotel even has a pool for a much cheaper price. My advice, dont always believe the reviews you read, lesson learnt here!

Beautiful hotel

Really nice staff and the 2 I spoke with, spoke English. And they were both very nice and helpful. Had 2 meals there. Both good and one dish really good. Chicken wings. Very clean and great shower. Took a hot 15 minute shower due to sore muscles. One negative is the wifi was terrible. Couldn’t even connect. I have 5g. So it turned out okay. Location is away, but this the great price for this quality Oh. Great bed and linens also

Checked out today after a 10 day stay. The property offers great value and good service however, there are a few items that need attention such as upkeep of the linens (ours were clean, but had holes one day and ink stains on another day), bathtub leaked water all over the floor with every shower and bathtub had a permanent stain in the porcelain floor. Shower curtain should be changed as well. Very poor quality toilet paper in the room, there is better quality toilet paper in the lobby washroom. No soap to wash hands upon arrival, we had to ask for it. There was a strange musty smell that periodically came from the bathroom. Room safe did not work, showed ‘error’ message and door lock did not always latch, we had to double check it every time we left the room. The good things, our room was cleaned well daily and housekeeping kind and efficient. Well attended lobby staff and doorman. Food in the restaurant was good quality and good service, however it does not operate according to hours posted so don’t count on evening room service. Massage spa (excellent female massage therapist!) and coffee shop also great amenities. Much appreciated water bottles in the room and convenience of 7-11 around the corner. Location is a little far from the heart of town, but everything was just a Grab ride away. The SC Park suited our stay just fine, it would be nice to see some small facility improvements to the rooms and linens. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The room is ok and the staff are friends and accommodating. Location a little out but still accessible by grab or car. The only flaw is the balcony is too close with no grills and may feel a little insecure as the neighbour can hope over any time.. but overall still good and great
