Fabulous b&b in lovely Keswick

This was a last minute booking due to the fabulous weather forecast and it did not disappoint. Lovely welcome our room was spotlessly clean very comfy with everything we needed for a relaxed 2 night stay. Close to the centre of lovely Keswick some great walk. Breakfast was fabulous too.

Amazing stay at Goodwin House! The hosts were fantastic and did everything possible to ensure your stay was perfect! Clean, quiet, comfortable and very close to Keswick centre! Would highly recommend staying here!

Superb B&b

Excellent B&B

Immaculately clean and tidy in all areas. Food was excellent, fresh and locally sourced Proprietors were very friendly and helpful. Downside was availability of parking- had to find onstreet.

What an amazing quiet and very comfortable B&B that is a few minutes walk from keswick town centre. The owners made me and my friend very welcome. They were first class super hosts. The breakfasts were superb and we were even treated to some yummy cake which was such a nice touch. I will definitely be staying again :)

Forth time at Goodwin House.

I have been visiting Keswick for a good few years and always been very happy with any B&B I used. However, this was my forth consecutive stay at Goodwin House, either as a solo traveller, or more often with my partner, but always thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I'm looking forward to my next visit with them.

There was nothing not to like! The owner was lovely and obliging. The room was very comfortable, quiet with a lovely view across the town to the mountains. The room was clean and well decorated. The bed was comfortable, and the en suite was bright and clean. Breakfast was perfect.

Fantastic Stay

Liz and Chris were fantastic hosts, we had a wonderful stay and the room and bathroom were absolutely spotless. Lovely quality duvet, and fantastic breakfast of yoghurt and fruit, homemade granola, cereals, tea, coffee, toast and local jams, and a full English breakfast. They also offer vegetarian options and avocado and poached egg on toast. The options were vast and high quality. They go above and beyond for guests, and catered specifically to my partner being gluten free by providing gluten free bread and granola at breakfast. We will certainly be back and will be recommending Goodwin House to family and friends. Thank you!

The thing we most enjoyed at the Goodwin was the breakfast. There were really good breakie options (Vegetarian/vegan) the coffee was great too! Chris and Liz were so warm and welcoming. There was even a slice of cake on arrival. The room was clean, tidy and spacious. Everything was in walking distance and we parked outside on the road for free. I'd definitely recommend and would love to come back again. Thank you both for a wonderful trip. Polly and James x

Goodwin House was an excellent place to stay with convenient access to many beautiful walking trails and situated in the quaint town of Keswick. Liz and Chris are extremely kind and hospitable, the breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Liz & Chris both welcomed me upon arrival. The guest house is conveniently located in the town centre and is in a quiet residential area (I couldn't believe how quiet it was, given the location). My room was well suited for my two night stay, with a small and modern looking en-suite shower room. The guest house provided a drying room for any wet clothing and muddy boots. Liz was very knowledgeable about the area and provided me with useful tips for getting around the town and down to Derwent Water. On offer for breakfast were cereals or porridge, but I opted for the full English which you can select from a menu the night before. Cooked to perfection!! In addition, I took the packed lunch that was on offer, useful for my days' walking. This was charged extra and even included a slice of homemade cake (delicious!!) I would stay here again if returning to Keswick and I highly recommend the guest house. Liz and Chris being perfect hosts.
