The property itself is beautiful, and the pool was a real highlight. It was very relaxing and well maintained. However, a few key issues made the stay quite disappointing overall. The room had no air conditioning, and unfortunately, we were there during a heatwave. They did provide a portable unit, but it was not effective at all. There was no real airflow, which made sleeping almost impossible. We were also unable to get a reservation at the Michelin starred restaurant, which was one of the main reasons we chose this place to celebrate a thirty fifth birthday. That was a major letdown and really impacted the experience. All in all, it was a case of bad timing. But the lack of comfort and limited access to what should have been a highlight makes it hard for me to give a high rating, even though the property itself has a lot of charm.
