Love Kernville and Whispering Pines Lodge

Since 2023, we’ve been coming back to Kernville annually. Whispering Pines Lodge is the only place we considered staying at. We’ve travelled to many places, stayed at various hotels/inns/cottages but never stayed in the same place 2x except at Whispering Pines Lodge. It’s like home away from home, a sanctuary when we want to decompress and just relax.

Great location(patio looking down Kern River) and views and close to restaurants. People we encountered were very friendly. One down side, water was down/shut off the most of second day due to plumbing work for water leak, caused us inconvenience.

Amazing lodge with a beautiful view of water running through forests and a mountain in the background. Their neon sign is reason enough to pick the places, it’s gorgeous! Everything was walkable. We loved this little town as well.
