The room was very clean and it had all of the amenities we needed. It was nice that there was a Coop grocery store nearby and another self serve store around the corner from the property. The bus stop was also nearby. The lights in the toilet were motion detected but would never turn off so we just closed the door so the light wouldn’t shine on our faces while we slept. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Beautiful spacious modern apartment in a good location . Wish there was an oven and a freezer as we brought some frozen oven meals for dinner and had to chuck them away but otherwise loved the apartment .

Fantastic central property for using as a Base for Switzerland's amazing mountains. Fantastic room, set up for kids was brillant. Only downside was the kids go to bed around 8pm and the bells over the road in the church toll until 10pm every 15 minutes; but once they were asleep they couldn't hear them!

We had a great stay at the hotel. Nice restaurant and close to other amenities in Kerns. Parking was good too. Only issue was the church opposite ringing its bells every hour until late but only a small gripe. Otherwise would be happy to stay again in future

As other guests have mentioned, parking is not included, as there are not enough spaces to accommodate all apartments. Unfortunately, there are no practical alternative parking options nearby. Check-in is fully self-service through a machine, and the owner can only be contacted by phone. We were advised to keep checking in the hope that a parking space would become available, but none ever did during our stay. We also contacted the property through Expedia messages but never received a response. On the positive side, the apartment was nicely renovated, clean, and well maintained. However, the kitchen was not adequately equipped for four guests, with an insufficient and mismatched number of plates, glasses, and cutlery. In addition, the TV was not working properly, and there was no way to connect to Netflix or watch any movie excepy videos on YouTube.

The hotel was great, and the service/hospitality was even better. We arrived with our 3 young children after 10pm. They had our room ready with the crib out and pull out bed made for us. Thanks Berg & Berg !!

Somehow I accidentally booked a room on their very first night open, which was a bit of a surprise to me upon arrival but I wasn't mad about it. The front dest staff was very kind and welcoming. The room was nice and clean although the bed was a bit lumpy and there was no soap in the dispensers in the shower. I would stay here again.

Berg & Berg Hotel was an outstanding hotel, excellent service, friendly and welcoming staff, easy parking, high standard & quality, brand new property. On arrival we found out we’re their very first guests and it was opening day. We were treated like celebrities and invited to join in the night’s celebrations, a nice evening. Very pleasant and professional owners. Greeted us next morning, thanked us for our stay and choosing their hotel and made sure everything was okay with our stay.

While this building is clean and modern, beware that the elevator goes only to the 3rd floor - so if you're room is on the 4th floor, you will need to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs. Our room was VERY VERY small, even by european standards. The (king sized) bed was also basically on the ground. There was not enough space in the room for my husband and I to have our small (carry on sized) suitcases opened at the same time. Also the opening to the shower is very narrow! The Japanese toilet was a nice perk. Kerns is a very small town, and to get there you need to take a city bus from Sarnen (short ride). The hotel has a restaurant and there are a few other restaurants in town, but it is a mostly residential town. I would not stay at this hotel again - but it is clean, safe and modern. Check in was fully automated and you can unlock your door with your smartphone - however it is difficult to reach staff if there is an issue.

The hotel looks to be renovated and uses a digital key to open the front sliding door and room door. I was sent a link with my reservation info and the digital keys. Opened the link on my phone and swiped the digital key to open the door. My concern was whether their WiFi would be working, which is needed to open the link. Cell signal on my phone was spotty there. Parking was in the rear of the hotel on parking spots with yellow lines. Coop market was next door, which was very convenient. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. The person at the front desk spoke English, which was a big plus My room was very quiet. Couldn't hear the Church bells ringing across the street About 1.5 hours to drive to Lauterbrunnen from there, but the price was just right for us, so we didn't mind the drive I would stay there again.
