Reception and Lady serving at breakfast were all lovely, room clean, shower really nice and food at bar and drinks all good. No car park at the hotel but parking at Cricket club a short walk away for 2 pound a day. Enjoyed our stay and would book again if ever in Kendal

Rooms are good enough. They do what you need and that’s provide a bed to sleep and a bathroom to do your business. Breakfast is elite, yes it isn’t Michelin star but it is filling and is delicious in its own way. Staff are also absolutely lovely and the hotel served its purpose excellently. I’ve stayed twice now and don’t have a single significant complaint.

From the outside the Lakeland doesn’t look very inviting, net curtains looking drab and the white building aging. The staff were lovely and very helpful, got into the room and every step I took, there was some almighty creaking from the floor boards. Had a decent night sleep though! Breakfast was a little disappointing l, there was mouldy bread left out. I ordered a fry up which looked amazing when it came out, the only issue was the size, it would’ve been perfect for a child not for a 6 foot bloke
