This is the second time that I have stayed at the Merihovi hotel. Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. I would stay here again if I go back to Kemi.

I am really impressed with this hotel. It is only 10-15 minutes walk away from the train station. I was able to check in early due to my train journey from Helsinki arriving at 09.45. So I did not have to wait around until 14.00. I would stay here again.

Tarkoitus oli vain levähtää yön yli matkalla etelästä Kittilään, mutta yllätyimme, kuinka tyylikäs, vanhan ajan hotelli Merihovi onkaan. Varattiin huone vasta Oulun ohitettuamme, emmekä häpeäksemme tienneet hotellin kunniakkaasta historiasta. Ihan erityinen hotelli.

Yllätys miten upean tyylikkääseen hotelliin tuli saavuttua. 40-50-lukujen modernismi huokuu ympärillä kalusteita myöten. Siisti ja puhdas sekä ystävällinen henkilökunta. Seinillä valokuvat jekkosineen kertovat pitkästä historiasta.Hyvä sänky kruunasi matkamiehen mielen. Mitä voimakkaimmat suositukset etelän miehille ja naisille huilata ennen viimeisiä kilometrejä kohti pohjoista.
