“The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. The other 3 pubs in Hawes all were doing a roaring trade over the hot bank holiday , but the Board closed around 7.30pm , had no food and very few clients. The breakfast in the Cockett next door was very average. Never seen green scrambled eggs before....they were rank and inedible.”
