This hotel was close to all sorts of restaurants. There is no air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room. The hotel is a sight to see! How it has been restored and maintained over the years is a true gem.

Such a unique property! Lots of charm and history in this hotel. Room was basic, and very warm. (No A/C and a broken stand fan). Supplying robes would have been nice, especially since our bath/shower facilities were down the hall. Good place for a 1-2 night stay.

The Carrington is a beautiful old hotel that has seen better days. It is getting worn out. You have to battle the lift to get on it, the floors and stairs creak ominously. We booked dinner reservations for their lovely dining room but they were not necessary-only 6 other people were seated/eating while we were there. The location may have something to do with this. It is my understanding that Katoomba was once a lovely town, but it also has seen better days. My suggestion is to stay and visit nearby Laura.
