The staff make this place. They are all so nice. Special call out to the lady who checked us in, and especially the guy who was trying to sleep in reception at 4am when we had to wake him up, he was fantástic and so nice. Very clean, quiet room, great breakfast. Nothing to complain about, great stay

Excellent boutique hotel!

Excellent hotel, large and clean rooms. The staff was very friendly and made our stay really enjoyable. We also were able to store our luggage for a week since we were doing the ABC hike.

Stayed at lovely Kumari Hotel for only two days, before moving on to the meditation retreat that brought me to Nepal, and I am so happy that I decided on this property. The hotel is super conveniently located, my room was spotless and cozy, and the staff made me feel like a vip at all times. First time in Nepal, and I would come back to this property over and over again! Thank you for your amazing hospitality :)

Top-notch treatment from staff. Clean, comfortable and stylish decor and furnishings. Stayed on 1st floor. A bit noisy for light sleepers: noises from elevator doors, upstairs guest and morning traffic from vehicles servicing hotels. The breakfast buffet of Continental local foods was light and tasty.

Second time stayed in this hotel. Located in Thamel, many shop’s/restaurants nears by. Close to everything. Decent size room, comfortable bed. The hotel is set in a back alley. I slept soundly. The hotel staff were excellent. They were very polite and kindhearted people, the breakfast were nice too. I enjoyed my stay.

Great location and hepful staff - good for the $

Great location - walkable to most things I wanted to do. Front desk was super helpful booking a day trip out of the city. Breakfast was great and easy. Room was clean and comfortable & a comfortable bed and nice sheets. The tv had english chanels, which was a perk to keep myself entertained with jet lag. pickup and drop off at airport was arranged with the front desk an was seamless. no complains - nice stay for the price!

Had a great stay in Kumari Boutique Hotel. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and took great care of us. The location of the hotel is also along a quiet street of Thamel that keeps us away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, and yet remains within walking distance to your restaurants, outdoor gear shops and trekking agencies. One minor complaint I have is that the street is not very car friendly. Because it is at a dead-end, vehicles will find it challenging trying to get out (they have to reverse out). It does not look like that in Google Maps, but the street in front of Hotel Mulberry in fact belongs to Hotel Mulberry and has a gate that prevents cars from passing through directly (pedestrians can walk through without an issue). This might be a slight inconvenience when you are trying to get a taxi right at the door step of the hotel.

Hotel is very good for Nepalese standards, with one small problem - it takes enormous amount of time (usually, around 2 minutes) for hot water appear from faucet. Good breakfast, WiFi is good most of the time, but may get a bit slow in evenings, when everybody uses it.

Content and happy with my stay!

Pretty decent place to stay for a 3 star hotel and it being Nepal. Staff were helpful and gave excellent service. Rooms were clean. The only thing is, it doesn’t have any outdoor space as obviously it is located in very narrow thamel area and as it is not a tall building, you won’t be getting much of a view, But if you’re looking for decent place to stay and mostly will be on the run to visit Kathmandu, I would definitely recommend it! Overall, I was very content staying at this hotel! Thank you for your service!

I really enjoyed my stay at the wonderful Kumari Boutique Hotel. Firstly I was greeted warmly with a cool drink. The room was clean and spacious, the bed large and comfortable, and the bathroom had a divide between the shower area and the toilet / sink, keeping the bathroom overall dry and amenable to a global audience. The artwork was educational teaching about the various communities and cultures of Nepal. The location is central and the staff had exceptional service. The food was newari style and good. I stayed 15 nights and they served me every day and night giving me whatever I asked for whether it was rubber bands, cutlery, towels, many bottles of water. The internet was fine and the AC was too. The cleaning was regular and adjusted to my sleep schedule. Everybody had a good attitude. They did my laundry at an efficient price. At the end of my 15 day stay, they promptly provided me a 15 day letter that permitted me to do court marriage in Nepal. Pramod the owner was so helpful. He literally came to the government ward office to help me with every step of my stamps and paperwork. He also gave me a nice arrangement for a long term stay (2 months) including food.
