Hotel was basic but clean, the bed was comfy and staff nice, but the bedroom was cold and I needed two downies to keep warm. Expedia rated it 8 so I was surprised to find no facilities. No way to get a cup of tea in the evening. If you visit then take a kettle. You have to take your room key out with you at night as reception closes and they lock the door. It's on a heavy key ring. Would be fine for a visit in warmer weather if you take a travel kettle.

Sehr freundliches Personal und neue bequeme Betten sowie Möbel. Das Hotel ist im allgemeinen etwas in die Jahre gekommen und die Umgebung gehört leider nicht zu den besseren Ecken von Kassel. Für einen Aufenthalt über wenige Tage ist das Hotel gut geeignet und zweckmäßig dem Preis gegenüber.

More than meets the eye

The hotel occupies a rather bland and unassuming building (like much of Kassel in general), the reception area leaves a somewhat worn-in impression. The room was quite another story, though: very clean and quiet, with everything you need, including a comfortable bed. The older lady in the reception was very helpful.

Personal und Service sind Top, die Zimmer sind sauber. Nur ist das Objekt sehr in die Jahre gekommen und irgendwo in den 70ern stehengeblieben. Dafür ist der gezahlte Preis leider sehr gehoben.

Das Hotel ist umgeben von mehreren Bars, was ordentlich zur Lautstärke beiträgt. Ohne irgendwelchen Ventilatoren oder Klimaanlagen kann man im Sommer nicht bei geschlossenen Fenster schlafen, weil sich das Zimmer sehr aufheizt. Und bei geöffneten Fenster kommt der Lärm der Straße, der Bars und der Busse hinzu, was eine ruhige Nacht erschwert.

Hotellet er fint i forbindelse med en enkelt overnatning som vi brugte det til. Det virker lidt som at havne i en tidslomme fra 1980’erne. Men god betjening, det er rent og alt virker som det skal.
