Liked: Cleanliness, property conditions & facilities

Came for a week during the off-season (September). Good: Price was good, scenery was excellent, environment was peaceful and quiet, cabin was well-maintained with good cooking/sleeping/bathroom facilities. Bad: We didn’t realize the resort was in a park and entrance tickets needed to be purchased daily, including for Yandex (Russian Uber) drivers. In addition, the Yandex price was a whopping 4-5 times higher to go to Karakol from Ski Paradise compared to ordering a ride around town. Ugly: There was no food available at the resort. The restaurant was closed and there was no free breakfast (the website lied). There was no delivery service available, so had to travel into Karakol to buy groceries. Combine that with the park entrance fees and high Yandex prices, it negated the price-savings by coming during the off season. Also the administrative staff was not responsive to texts (responded about 50% of the time via WhatsApp). Maybe the experience would have been better during ski-season.
