We recently stayed at The Pristine for 4 days and paid around ₹25,000 for the stay. Unfortunately, the experience did not match the hotel's claimed luxury positioning.
Issues during stay:
First day dog was barking entire night. Not sure how they allowed a pet in the floor where other guests are staying.
Television was not working.
Water bottles were not replenished unless requested.
Cleaning was done only once in four days.
Hand towels were removed and not replaced.
However, the main concern was the checkout experience.
We were made to wait nearly 30 minutes while the room was being checked. Another guest was arguing loudly at the front desk about a smoking fine and left without paying, while we were kept waiting.
Later, we were told we had to pay ₹1,000 + taxes for yellow stains on a towel. We attended a wedding function the previous evening, so there may have been cosmetic stains. We paid the amount without argument.
The issue is not about ₹1,000. It is about how it was handled.
The staff’s tone was rude and accusatory, as if we had committed an offense. There was no discretion or professionalism. The towel was given to us only after we asked. This kind of public embarrassment is not expected from a hotel that calls itself premium.
Luxury is not about pricing — it is about service behavior.
Management seriously needs to train front desk staff on customer handling.
Would not recommend unless service standards improve.
