It was awfully packed over the full moon weekend (would not recommend visiting during this period)! This pavilion-like structure at the front Paththirippuwa, or Octagon. It is a symbol of identity in Kandyan Architecture. In the olden days, the king would stand there to address his citizens who were gathered in front of him. The golden roof behind stands over the Buddha tooth relic that this temple is famous for. I wonder whether this is the best hotel in Sri Lanka. I was amazed at the architecture, the location, the quality for the price. The service. The room was beautiful. It is worth getting out of Kandy proper to have this as a base to return to. To wake up in. Amazing

We stayed there one night on our way to Ella. Nice location. Great view. Very good customer service. Kids enjoyed there large pool.breakfast was amazing. So Many food varieties. They had a place where they make Yara tea which you have not seen any other hotel breakfast. Definitely a hotel worth the price.

Beautiful location. However, the check out procedure was not very user friendly and the staff insisted on getting the key card back. We had already left the city on a tour and had to come back to Kandy to return the key card (ok, it was our fault for forgetting to return it but insisting on having it back wasn’t very nice).

The property is a bit dated. The carpets in the hallway, the flooring in the room and bathroom was a bit shabby. I honestly feel the property could use some renovation. The tase of the food is quite average. On a positive note, the views from the room are quite breathtaking.

This is a very comfortable and clean hotel. The staff are very welcoming and polite. The rooms are lovely and the food is good. Spent a lovely day relaxing by the pool which is very clean. Has come to Kandy for the Perahera and this was an oasis of quiet after the hustle and bustle. I would definitely book to stay here again.

This is the ideal place to be away from the daily rut. I was away from work on vacation and made the best of my time relaxing by the pool a day at the spa, the body massage I highly recommend. The bar lounge staff were polite and courteous, don’t miss to order Bloody Mary. Room service was amazing, quick and suggested entrees. One of the managers Mr Mithun was awesome he came to rescue one night when a private party was too loud. Overall the best hotel in Kandy. Thank you for making my stay memorable.
