The hotel looks nice from the outside and the lobby. My wife is handicapped so we are very careful where we stay. We found 1 available handicap spot and went in to check in. We were greeted with a very accommodating lady at the front desk. She told us there is a $14 parking fee on top of the cost of the room. This is a first for both my wife and I. We have stayed at probably over a thousand hotels. I am not okay with this. Maybe, I overlooked the information of the hotel when I booked it, maybe not. Not cool. The cost always includes the parking. Even the city of Kamloops has free parking spots for handicapped persons! We went to our room. The rooms are average. There was a partly chewed dogs dentastick beside the one bed. I went into the bathroom next to shower. I immediately realized the shower is set up for short people. If you are remotely close to 6 feet, good luck rinsing off. This is where a handheld showerhead would have helped or a moveable one at the very minimum. I grabbed a kleenex to blow my nose and realized the box was empty after I pulled two of them. I went down to the front desk to get another box. The lady at the front desk brought one up later in the evening. The sleep was decent until someone's dog started barking a couple rooms down. The restaurant should modernize their menu and include gluten-free options for those us with Celiac Disease. Overall our stay was average. Nothing more, nothing less. I have stayed in many better hotels for less money.

We had an excellent experience staying here during our short trip to Kamloops. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was superb in the facilities it offered. I will highly recommend this place to stay for anyone planning a trip to Kamloops.
