We had a nice visit to Kalmar and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is convenient to the train station as well as the central part of the city. The breakfast is delicious and the staff are so friendly and helpful.

This property was very nice. Dinner and breakfast were excellent. Staff was very professional. Our room was on the “smallish” side and the chair needed some new stuffing! Bed and pillows were wonderful. Definitely come back again.

We stayed here in September 2025. I loved the historical character of the place. We had a water view, which was amazing. However, our neighbor had his radio/tv up so loud. You could hear it from the hall. We would not have been able to sleep. Both we and the hotel knocked on the door, but no one every answered. So they moved us that night. When we went back the next morning to get the rest of our things out of the original room, the tv/radio was still that loud. To be honest, I am surprised they didn't enter the room to make sure the person was alright. I still gave this 5 stars, because the staff did give us another room (not a water view, but it was still nice). The breakfast and dinner were great and saved us a lot of money. The location is amazing. You could walk to town easily from there. I would definitely stay there again.

Maten god, tyvärr smutsigt på rummet, inte så hjälpsam personal heller. Vi blev bortglömda när vi behövde nytt batteri i brandlarmet (det pep hela tiden och upptäcktes cirka 22 när vi kom tillbaka på kvällen) och de skulle hjälpa oss med det på rummet, vi fick ringa till receptionen 23.30 (skulle ta en kvart men då hade det gått en timme och vi behövde sova, hade även min bebis med mig) och påminna men då hade de inte tid och det hade blivit sen kväll så det blev inget . De hade dock varit uppe på rummet och tagit ner brandlarmet så vi slapp pipandet hela natten. Kändes dock nonchalant och som att vi var besvärliga & vi fick vara utan brandlarm. Inget hände men ändå, brandlarm är ju där av en anledning och man vill ju ha basic säkerhet på sitt rum. Hade höga förväntningar då recensionerna var så bra men upplevelsen var inte bra för oss.
