Parking lot had homeless walking through it at night. The staff we dealt with were great. The room we had didnt didnt have a working deadbolt. Room had black mold on ceiling of room and in bathroom shower.

Unexpected charge overshadowed the stay

The hotel itself was very nice and well maintained. My kids and I enjoyed our stay. The breakfast amenities were excellent! The reason I haven't given a higher rating is the unexpected charge of $75 at check-in. I was told that it would be refunded and have yet to see that reflected in my bank. If the refund does come through I will update my review accordingly.

It’s what you’d expect for a holiday inn. It’s a sports tournament area hotel. It was booked with families so it gets kinda crazy. Room was big and clean. Room stayed nice and cool. Shower was good. Soaps in shower and bathroom good. Breakfast was good. Coffee machines best part. The surrounding area isn’t anything special but not unsafe. It’s not a 5 star but you don’t expect that with holiday inn express. It gets the job done for a weekend stay for a tournament.

UPGRADES NEEDED

Check in went quickly. Room was a bit musty others in our party complained about room smelling of urine/cigarettes. Pool looked like it needed a good scrubbing. Sitting outside several guests were approached multiple times by a vagrant. No working ice machines and elevator broke around 530 am day of check-out so some guests required multiple trips to exit. Not impressed especially for the cost per night. Sadly more elite parking spots than handicap. Especially given how many we had in our party.
