Best staff. So friendly. This is an historic property, so the rooms are unique configurations that might not appeal to everyone, but we thought it was great. Perfect location, esoecially if coming in from a cruise ship. Susan at the front desk was great

The building is very old (the oldest hotel in Alaska) but it was a great stay. I never had any issues. I couldn't open my window because I was on the 2nd floor and the building looked to be built into the mountain so there was a lot of foliage right outside my window, but they provided a box fan. There was a Daddy Longlegs spider on the ceiling but I left him alone and he left me alone. I would stay here again.

Beautiful and fun

Beautiful old hotel right in historic Juneau. Unique antique architecture and comfortable rooms. Try and request a room that's not right over the bar if you are a light sleeper as noise comes through the floor.

My kind of place!

I love a classic 112 year old hotel. Shared bathrooms were clean and never a wait. Mattress was like a cloud! Everyone is helpful and friendly. Not your type of place if you're uptight and get upset about some wear and tear or hauling gear up stairs. Adventurous souls only!

Charming Rustic Alaska in a Great Location

Not the flashiest or most modern accommodation but if you're trying to save some money and have a rustic authentic Juneau experience in a great location than this is the winner!

Loved my stay...everything is Alaskan funky, not the cleanest bathrooms but absolutely unique and, for one who is comfortable staying at hostels, absolutely sufficient and appreciated!!! The bar is also not to be missed!
