Rooms were very spacious but could use updating. Gym, pool and hot tub were very nice. Restaurant food and service need improvement. I suggest going to town for food. The area and location are beautiful with the lakes and hiking trails nearby.

Great, relaxing ski trip. Clean cabin with a beautiful view of the creek. We used the jacuzzi every night after skiing, I got a hot-stone massage, and we ate at the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend it all. We will be back!

Beautiful resort!!

Wonderful 1 night stay! It’s a beautiful resort with pond views, waterfalls and flowing creek at the entrance. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Our upstairs room was very cozy except for the floor that made a rattling noise even when we tippy toed. Nice spacious bathroom. A vanity mirror and a microwave would’ve been a plus. Happy with several deer sightings near the creek. It’s a great location between June lake and Silver lake

The property was amazing but, thats not what made this place so great, it was the people running it. We mistakenly booked our stay for a week after we were to be there. When we pulled in at 9pm, 50 miles from civilization, they went out of their way to help get us a room to stay in. After hrs and so kind, thank you Double Eagle, you really saved us from disaster!!

Not worth the money

Old cabin with minimal entertainment (no games, books, puzzles, fishing gear, children’s games, only a TV). The staff was not friendly—very restrictive hours for children’s pool use. A total ripoff.

The area surrounding this hotel is beautiful! Background mountains when you walk out of your room, quite breathtaking. As for the room itself, it was roomy and great looking but looking closer you can tell it needed repairs and a deep clean. We had double queens beds and both had issues. 1 bed had what looked to be dried-up blood on the comforter and the other had small black fur on the sheets, as if a dog slept there. The bathroom door is like a sliding panel that folded in on itself. It didn't even closed fully because it was damaged/missing panels so it didn't cover the entire width of the door frame. Don't think I would stay here again as there were other hotels within this area.

What’s up the the pool?

This place is great but the pool situation is so weird, especially since a place with cabins would presumably be kid friendly. Kids under 3 are not allowed in the pool at all. Kids under 12 are limited to using the pool for 2 separate 2 hour periods per day. 1 of those periods is when young kids would normally nap (11:30-1:30). So from 4:30-6:30 the pool is a zoo. None of this pool info is in the website. On top of that, there’s a local woman who goes around accosting the children DURING kids hours because she’s “been looking forward to coming here to have some peace all day.” There’s also a private jacuzzi in the locker room, so not sure why this place also needs adult hours or why it isn’t switched so lap swim/adult time is just 4 hours a day. However, knowing all this, I’d still come back with my kids.

The hot tub was only 100 deg. Needed a little warmer. Everything was wonderful but both my husband and I were very disappointed in the pillows for our bed. THE WORST EVER! we didn’t bring our because the amount of money we paid for the room, I assumed we’d have great pillows. Hopefully you guys invest in more than a flat Walmart pillow for the future. Also it would have been nice to have extra blankets for our bed. We got cold even with the heater on. Otherwise we loved the room with the creeky floor! It’s a beautiful property.

The room is clean but old-fashioned. It has a refrigerator but no microwave. Need to use the lobby one.It takes forever to get the hot water working in shower room. I enjoyed the picture like pond view especially in the morning! I love the restaurant just right in the resort and the food is delicious. The best is the pool and hot tub indoor. Clean and quiet. Especially they have a separate hot tub in women's changing room conjuncted with steam room. Full spa service. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The only thing need to improve of the resort is lacking lights outside the lodges and resort outdoor areas. I had to use my cellphone flashlight all these time to locate facility buildings and found my way back at night.

We've been coming here for decades (literally). Not much changes here, and that's both good and bad. The rustic cabins are homey, warm and inviting, but they need a refresh STAT. Upon entering our cabin, we were slammed in the face by a chemical parfum that I discovered to be the 'scented' trash can liners. Fortunately the Housekeeper was in the office when I went in to complain, and she came immediately to the cabin to change it out to 'unscented'. Please stop this practice. No lamp in the living room to read by. Alarm clock in one bedroom was across the room, on the (new and very nice) dresser, so I moved it. The bathroom light switch was a 2-gang, but they put a 3-gang plate over it, which looked lazy and stupid. Bathroom sink had no screen or stopper. If you drop a ring, or anything like it... they're gone. Why are toilet seats always loose? And this one was from the 1980's. Great new microwave! The main area's ceiling was falling down. This was one of the worst issues. Obviously there were some past roof leaks, and they just painted over the staining, but the drooping and separating was an indication of lack of care. Spa is wonderful, and our massages with Natasha were (as have always been) first rate. She is a gift. The spa gym equipment hasn't changed in years (decades?). The equipment is horribly dated and not in great shape. Please modernize. The restaurant is great. Food is excellent, and the staff is wonderful (Sergio!). Tough to justify the cost.

Beautiful grounds and view from our room. Cozy, clean room. Great food at restaurant. Disappointed that spa services were limited on weekdays. No facials or mani/pedis were available. Also the bathroomi in our cabin had no facecloths or any extra towels. I expected more for $300.

The grounds were well maintained and attractive. Pond with trout was a nice touch. Spa facility was very nice. Amber (?), Danielle, and Xerxes at spa, and Eva at restaurant were very friendly and helpful. Check in efficient, but not particularly helpful. We arrived early, and understood room might not be ready, but no offer to let us know if room available early. Phones in room (apparently all rooms) don’t work; very difficult to communicate with front desk, restaurant, etc. - had to go through general number and get routed to location I wanted. Front desk guy not really that helpful. Overall experience was very good, and I would be happy coming back.
