I’m always happy with my stay here at Onomo Sandton. The rooms are small, but they are comfortable and perfectly adequate. The Wi-Fi always works wonderfully and the showers are always nice and hot. Everything is clean and it is so incredibly convenient to Sandton city center, and all of the shopping and convention centers nearby. The service is always fantastic and friendly.

The rooms are incredibly small, but for one person traveling just for a few days it is perfectly adequate. Even though the rooms are small the fact that it is so close to the train station, shopping malls, and other amenities makes it a great place to stay. Also, the breakfast is wonderful.

I love the position of this hotel

I love the position of this hotel, directly across the road from Sandton Mall. The bed was comfortable with a variety of pillows. The breakfast bar had slight changes each day to provide variety. The staff were pleasant.

Definitely not what it used to be. Staff were brilliant though and as always, location is fantastic. But the redesign is simply awful. Not just bad, awful. Flow of rooms, colour schemes that look cheap, wasted space in the bathrooms, TV's that didn't work (both rooms, so must be common) etc. What a wasted opportunity for Onomo, does their hotel team not use hotels?

Pros: The rooms are cosy, the breakfast options are good. Walking distance to the Mandela square and shopping mall. Walkable distance to the metro. Cons: They do not tell you but they do not allow taxis( Uber/Bolt) to pick you up from the property, you have to walk a slight distance to be picked up. They require that you use their in-house transport which is way more expensive than the taxi.

From my arrival with a speedy check in to Carol and the way she was meticulous in cleaning the room. My stay here was beyond pleasant! I would recommend this this hotel to anyone and everyone visiting Jozi.

Disappointing

Never had a good experience the last time I stayed but decided to give the hotel another try as the location is extremely convenient. Firstly on check-in the room did not match the description provided on hotels.com. The reception blamed hotels.com for advertising the wrong room descriptions.The hotel has super thin walls and was very noisy. I could here multiple doors slamming and people talking loudly from 330 am. Then as like the previous occasion a terrible drain smell came up from the shower from around 4am which was terrible. That ended my sleep for the night not ideal for a business trip. Unfortunately won't be back.

There is no phone in th room. The check out is 10am. Early. The breakfast is not good and we had to pay for a hot chocolate. Unbelieve! Just a few chanel on tv, no refrigerator in the room. One good point is that the room is very clean. Also the small reception When I was checking out the manager asked me if we want a shyttle. Cost 600 rand. I said no thank toj and he said the uber could not stop in front the hotel. Uber is 189 rands to the airport. So we took our lugages and walked until the street to wait for the uber No kind! The staff is kind, except when we arrived early to the check in about 10 am and I asked to leave my small lugage and my back pack at rhe reception. The lady there was not so lkind . I said rhat I had glasses in my luggage and she put it in a way that will felll down. I took our lugage and went to rhe mall til 2pm, check in time iI lost.my morning with our luggages in a mall In fact, i dont recomend this hotel.
