There was a double booking. J'cups said that they have closed their account with hotels.com. However, they still managed to take bookings. Helen found us alternative accommodation for two nights, which I feel was not quite on par with what we received at J'Cups. We spent 1 night with J'Cups and then two nights with another accommodation and then two nights again with J'Cups. I would just make sure not to book via hotels.com again as they have no way of communication channels where these types of things can be sorted out. We spent another half day trying to find alternative accommodation with no luck. J'Cups just stated the fault was not on their side. We were stranded and already paid the full amount for accommodation. The fact that we had to travel between two accommodations had its own challenges. My contact lens holder went missing from the second accommodation and we lost things that we could not keep cool in the cooler as we could not go to the new accommodation during the day with our busy competition schedule. J'Cups's manager Helen did go out of her way to assist in the end. J'Cups is a lovely place to stay at. If you were to book there, rather phone them directly to check availability.
I loved the whole setting and antique design, the staff and the food were excellent. Only disliked that the heating setting was not working on the air conditioner in my room and It was cold.
