He deserves five star review except the air-conditioning unit in room six where we stayed was malfunctioning and very noisy interfering with our sleep. Other than this it was a terrific experience all around the Chef was excellent, and the staff really was very pleasant and helpful

A wonderful property to stay, we were upgraded to the presidential suite which was large with two bathrooms. Very nice old world charm. The food was a bit of a disappointment. Breakfast and service was not up to the standards of the room and cost. Breakfast was included but was limited and was served cold though the plate was very hot? We had dinner one evening it was expensive and the vegetables were cold but the meat was warm and delicious. We were the only guest and the service was slow and they struggled with making an Iris coffee after dinner. It is a fantastic location and Hazelwood is only few miles away filled with great and fun restaurants. It has been a wonderful experience and a welcome change from the chain hotels we will definitely return.

Vi har bott här vid tre tillfällen! Underbart! Fint område. Rummen är helt fantastiska. Servicen är top notch! Man bara trivs! God mat, bra frukost. Sover gott, det är så rofyllt. Vackra omgivningar. En helt otrolig takterass med 360 graders utsikt. Personalen är supertrevlig. Mycket bra taxitransfer till flygplatsen. Hotellet ordnade med en jättebra privat sightseeing i Johannesburg och Pretoria! Mycket hög kvalitet!! Vi kommer sannolikt att återvända!

Very scary, no sleep

Woke up midnite to find someone in your room in Sourh Africa is no joke. Person had a key to enter our room and lock the door again when he left the room as we woke up. It took us a while to get our door keys that fell on the floor in the dark. We phoned all the available numbers - nobody answered. Even the security guard at the gate, could not get hold of the owner / management. The television did not work. Have to move furniture to get hold of plugs to charge our phones. The aircon could not be put off, due to the remote not working and no plug to put it off.

Best hotel in Pretoria, by far!

Easily the best hotel in Pretoria and one of the best in all of South Africa. To put it simply, this place made me feel like a king (quite literally). Everything from comfort, service, food, location were TOP-NOTCH. The only thing I could possibly recommend is that the hotel invest in a second backup power generator. The power was out and the main generator was being serviced when I needed to check out, so checkout was made difficult and since the wifi was also down I couldn't order an Uber. Other than that this place was excellent and the staff were very warm and welcoming and always willing to help. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pretoria.
