We were not able to check in on the original planned day to car issue and it was our son’s birthday. They were kind enough to change our date to the next day. Room was clean and comfortable. It was a short stay but would stay here again in the future. Only 15 mins away from the American dream mall.

Our stay here at Spark by Hilton was excellent. We were accommodated accordingly by staff and they even provided us with a goodie bag while also letting my wife pick a snack of her choosing for her birthday. The room was well prepared upon entering and bed was comfortable for sleeping. The only issue I had was the sound of police sirens in the middle of the night as the hotel is located near a busy highway. Otherwise, my wife and I enjoyed our stay!

This hotel was a former Howard Johnson's that recently renovated. The new look is outstanding. The rooms are clean and bright. There is no hot breakfast as there is an IHOP attached to the hotel. However, the continental breakfast is satisfactory.

King bed was comfortable and we had a balcony on the third floor. What I found most annoying was no coffee in the small breakfast area. One had to walk out by the front door desk for a cup and there was no half n half. Either the chemical laced Coffee Mate, 2% milk or some mysterious oat milk! Breakfast sandwiches were offered FOR SALE but slim pickings at best.

My only wish is that the slider door had more than a regular lock since the door opened on the outside of the building not on the inside where a wood block could stop the door from opening. Juice machine was out of order. Maybe bring in a couple of bottles of juice since cups are already there. Great location and very clean!

We stayed here for a couple of nights. The room was clean and well maintained, so other than some strange noise like an engine sound over the night sometimes, everything else about the room was nice. Shower and air conditioning was great . However I can't say the same thing about the common areas like corridors and the lobby. Even though they look well maintained but there was a constant unpleasant smell, even in the breakfast room. And when I complained about it, the reaction and response from the receptionist was not nice.

The bedrooms and bathrooms are very clean, making you feel right at home. However, the AC in my room was too close to the bed, which was annoying. I finally turned it off; it was better to sleep in a warm room in the middle of summer than to have an AC blowing on me from just two feet away.

In the three and a half days I was there, not one housekeeper cleaned my room. The hotel indicated, on an information sheet given at check-in, that housekeeping would be done every other day. I got back to my room too late on the second day to call down to have any “light” cleaning. What was more troubling was the “handicap” features. Grab bar placement in the tub was inadequate, no non-stick surface on the tub had me in fear of a fall. The commode was normal height with no grab bar adjacent. With troubling arthritis, I had difficulty with this. The breakfast room was clean, and the limited selection was okay. The best feature of this Spark hotel is the cheerful, enthusiastic staff. They made check-in and check-out pleasant.
