A beautiful colonial style hotel in fun central

The Gunawarman was booked on the recommendation of a local colleague. He understood that as westerners we would want to eat and drink either in the hotel or nearby and it did not disappoint. The hotel itself is very nice with beautiful spaces, rooms, bar and dining area. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again.

The Gunawarman still has a lot of character, and represents decent value for a luxury hotel in Jakarta. However the fact that they’ve now removed what few gym facilities there were, and made the downstairs lounge members only means that this will likely be my last trip staying here. It’s definitely suffered due to the pandemic.

This is my second stay there. First time everything was ok. But this time room was not made up after first night. Only 1 towel was available at begining and after special request I got face towel. Food in hotel restaurant caused whole night diharea.

The room was facing the main road and it was noisy with the bikes on the street all night. I also couldn't understand why the pillows seem to be scented. I have a sensitive nose and that irritated my nose all the time. Plus the Aircon switched off on its own 3 times in the night. I thought it was off for a short while as the room reached the right temperature, but it didn't turn back on and I was starting to sweat, so I have to stand up and turn it back on. The doors of the rooms were also quite heavy so you hear other people closing their doors all the time.

잘 묵었지만 다시 가기는 좀^^

객실이랑 욕실 인테리어는 프랜차이즈 호텔과는 달리 특색있고 이국적인 분위기 느낄 수 있어 좋았어요.. 직원분들은 완전 친절하세요^^ 결정적으로 식당사진보고 숙박을 결정했는데 기대가 너무 컸나봐요^^ 음식이 나쁘진 않지만 감동까진.. 욕실에 샤워부스 코너랑 세면대에 물때랑 곰팡이가 남아 있어서 안타깝네요.. 그리고 객실에서도 담배냄새가 느껴질 때도 있었고.. 식당에서도 흡연/금연 구분이 좀 애매해요.. 한 번은 묵을 법하지만 또 선택하진 않을 것 같아요^^

Best boutique hotel in South Jakarta

Best boutique hotel in Jakarta South. Away from the hustle and bustle of CBD and it is nice to relax after a whole day of business meetings. Nearby there are good up market restaurants and cafes. I will return again 👍

This is one of my favorite hotels in Jakarta -- more a personal boutique hotel with warm staff that know your name. Very safe and beautiful. Near a number of great restaurants / offices in the SCBD area.

엔틱한 부티크 호텔

고풍스러운 부티크호텔입니다. 몇차례 자카르타 출장하면서 세노파티부근의 눈여겨봐둔 호텔이었습니다. 호텔이 30여개 객실의 멤버십호텔이어서 호불호가 있을것입니다. 가격대비 방의 크기는 크지 않습니다. 다만 구조와 시설물이 앤틱한 구성이어서 숙박기간 중 화보촬영을 목격할 수 있었습니다. 주차시설이 협소하지만 발렛으로 해결할 수 있습니다. 가족단위 여행보다 커플여행시 사용이 어울릴듯합니다. 복도의 소음은 좀 있으나 튿별한 문제는 없었습니아. 제 숙박에는 조식이 포함이 없었으나 다른 구매방법에는 조식포함이 있는득 합니다. 1층 식당은 소피아라고 유명한 식당입니다. 항상 많은 손님들이 방문했고 가격 또한 비싼편이었습니다. 그러나 레스토랑 서비스 및 음식은 만족스럽습니다. 주변에 SBCD와 세뇨파티거리의 식당 이용 및 쇼핑이 편리합니다. 룸메이드는 만족스럽니다. 청결유지와 무료캡슐커피는 민족스럽습니다. 교통이 꽤 혼잡한 지역이지만 사업중심지역이니만큼 걸어서 이동가능한 곳에 사무싷이 많습니다.

A Must Try Hotel

Very convenient location with many restaurants and the District 8 mall within walking distance. Absolutely love the artisan design of this hotel and the great amenities, especially the coffee machine and the quality of the tooth brush. Housekeeping service was also on par when we asked for the turndown service. The only downside is the lack of a swimming pool and also the gym which looked more like a storage room. Word of advice, if you want a more quiet stay, best to ask for 2nd or 3rd floor rooms as the 1st floor is too close to the lobby.

Unique building filled with nostalgia. It's a great if that suits your taste. Not so great if you're looking for ultra modern hotels typical of modern Asian metropolis. Also, the hotel is surrounded by great restaurants of all kinds but the sidewalk infrastructure in Jakarta is horrendous. I was afraid of getting hit by speeding cars as we were forced into vehicle lanes at times to avoid obstacles in the pedestrian sidewalk. Certainly not an aspect directly controllable by the hotel but nevertheless I hope that improves in the near future.

Great hotel in CBD

Great hotel to stay nearby CBD. Rooms are well designed, bed is very comfortable and breakfast was very good. Gym is a bit small but well equipped.
