Elegant inn/great location

Such a gracious couple as hosts and an elegant home. We were able to walk to everything and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast on the patio. We look forward to coming back again!

Everything about Blue Heron Inn is superb! The owners, Charles and Rebecca welcome you as soon as you arrive and take care of all your needs. The inn is immaculate, the room is well decorated and the bed is super comfortable. The breakfast is a full meal and delicious. We definitely recommend Blue Heron Inn, you wont be disappointed!

The Blue Heron Inn was the ideal spot for our weekend escape! The owners were incredibly welcoming, and each morning we enjoyed a delicious, thoughtfully prepared breakfast. Our room was not only comfortable but also had every amenity we could need. Plus, the location was perfect, with restaurants and shops just a short stroll away. We can't wait to return to this charming inn!

It is a lovely property run by a very nice couple. The house is furnished with very nice antiques and the rooms are lovely. The breakfasts were big and delicious. We would definitely recommend this bed and breakfast.

Fabulous stay at the Blue Heron. The property is beautiful, the hosts most helpful. We loved the breakfast and 5pm glass of wine. Couldn't fault the facilities in any way. Bed was comfy, beach equipment and restaurant booking available, one street away from downtown, what more could you want? Definitely recommend.

EXCELLENT!! Staff met us when arriving- very professional and courteous. The room (Hummingbird suite) was large, clean and very comfortable ( watch out for the stairs) They thoughtfully had snacks, wine, and coffee available daily. Parking a bit challenging, but even on this very busy day (New Year’s eve), parked in front. We did not partake in the breakfast (up too late!), but could smell the bacon in the morning. I can’t say enough good about this place. It is what a bed/breakfast should always be about! Bravo! We will definitely return- soon!

Easy check-in, which was great since I arrived after hours. Amazingly friendly management and lovely included breakfast on the terrace in the morning - great way to kick off the start of a stay on the island AND close to everything! Only thing is that I didn’t think of the 3-stories of stairs to get to my room and overpacked! Be mindful of what room you choose and how heavy your luggage is!

The interior is beautiful, the bedroom was very nice, great bed. The owners are the nicest couple. Breakfast was delicious and served, sit down! Not a buffet style. Very nice. We'll be back.

We really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Blue Heron Inn. The location is perfect for walking around the downtown area with many restaurants and shops close by. We were able to park our car at the Inn and barely needed it again. There is ample parking in their private lot, and parking is permitted on the street in front of the Inn. The house is historic and beautifully decorated, with a mix of antiques and contemporary furnishings so that its history is evident, but feels open and modern (and extremely clean!) at the same time. The innkeepers, Julie and David are extremely charming and hospitable. The breakfasts were perfect- and I really enjoyed the 5pm Beer/Wine Happy Hour in the main room where you can mix with the host and other guests. We stayed in the Heron Room on the first floor. I loved the light and airy ambiance in that room. All in all, from the moment we entered, from initial welcome, to our leave -taking, we felt like friends and so, we will be back!

The room has much louder and smaller than anticipated, poor amenities and floor arrangement, did not feel private adjacent to common areas, large gaps around door allowing noise and light in and lack of privacy. Management was not reasonable hearing and addressing complaint.
