Yeah I've never been in a Marriott property or maybe even quick hotel stay on the highway that was this bad. I'll never use Expedia for a bundle after this and considering transferring my loyalty to Hilton properties.

The property needs to be updated. Our carpet was fraying and torn and the bathroom had mold. The staff was friendly and the beds were good.

Property was clean and literally within 2 minutes from my event. No matter what time I got there, I always had a close park to the door which since I was by myself and coming to the propery around 2 am, it was safe for me to do so.

Active Construction Site, Miserable stay

The entire hotel was under construction with hammering and nail guns going on in the rooms next to ours until 8:45 at night. Took a shower, somewhat clean bathroom, towel rack fell off barely touched it. Front desk had a list with 3 rooms on it that were available unable to change our room away from noise of construction & unable to give discount or refund because we boooked through hotels.com. HOtels.com does not have customer service number to contact for help. Won't be using hotels.com for travel anymore.

This picture does not depict my experience!

I had to laugh at the photo of the outdoor area on the email because what I experienced was the total opposite of the photo. No cushions, no organization, nothing appealing. I know the hotel is undergoing renovation and the lobby area and most rooms have been updated but the hallway carpet was filthy and looked like it had not been cleaned in weeks. I had reservations for two nights but checked out after one. The area did feel safe and the staff were cordial and helpful, but the areas not renovated were just nasty.

If you want to feel like you are staying at a CONSTRUCTION SITE then by all means stay here. The pictures are not true to the conditions of the rooms, they are way more outdated. No AC on the floors and dirty and old elevator. Construction debris on the floors and carpet as well as in the room, paint splatters everywhere. Only one lamp as the light in the room, broken TV and Window. Bugs in the shower and ashes on the counter even though it was a non smoking room. We ordered Breakfast and never got any, 25$ in the wind… DO NOT STAY HERE

WASTE OF MONEY!

If I could leave ZERO stars I would.. We stayed here one night on our way to Panama City. I booked a room with a king bed and pull out couch. The room was TINY. Seemed like it used to be an extra storage room that they converted to a hotel room. Our room was also HOT.. There was no AC in the hallway or the rooms on the third floor. We called the front desk at around 10 because we were crammed and HOT.. They thankfully moved us to a room on the first floor (but not without an attitude). This hotel should be ashamed… the pictures on the advertisement are misleading and this hotel is a WASTE of money!

Never Stay at this Hell Hole

The receptionist at the front desk was extremely rude. They didn’t have any king bed rooms available (which was the room type we reserved) and the only option was two queen or full size beds whichever it was. We accepted and went to the room which was smelly and extremely hot to the point it took all night to cool off. When I confronted her she said that was all that was available and if we didn’t want to stay we could go somewhere else! When I told her that Marriott would not be happy with the conditions of the hotel and the rudeness of the service she stated that they were independently owned and they didn’t care! We had been traveling all day and needed our rest so we settled but I was appalled by the level of service this person was giving! Later I came down to see if they may have something for a headache and witnessed this same front desk worker being extremely rude to another customer at which time she canceled his reservation against his will and told him to find another place to stay because he wasn’t staying there! This type of behavior is extremely unacceptable and should not be tolerated by ANY business owner much less a corporate franchise such as Marriott! The rooms and the entire hotel wasn’t up to par to be a two star hotel such as Motel 6!! These are all facts!!

Remodeling the lobby does not improve what's more important, a clean UPDATED functional room. I felt like I was in a time warp to 1991 with the fixtures and gross shower.
