The place is nice, comfortable and clean in the room. We had a hot shower and good breakfast in the morning. I didn’t realize that I would be staying at someone’s house until after we booked, and then we weren’t able to cancel. The owner is nice, but quite prescriptive with her instructions.

Prompt phone response upon ride in to clarify driving directions. I slept so well, as I had long days, probably the last one up. Beth had discovered that I had forgotten my prescription medication which was under my pillow & immediately brought it to me. It was so nice to give the indoor wind chimes a little ring as I took in the due East view as I collected my thoughts before leaving. The display of Tibetan flags & Himalayan certificate of honor was grounding.

I stayed in this hostel and it was a great experience! This was my first time ever staying in a hostel, so I was quite nervous, given my young age as well. I opted for the female only dorm room. I did arrive super late on my check in day, so I didn't get to explore the property much or talk to anyone, and just went right to bed. Instructions were super clear and easy, it made my check in seamless. Parking was clear and there was never a problem finding a spot even when the hostel was full. The guests staying here were extremely friendly and I met a new friend, and we went on a hike together and jumped in the lake! Amenities were great, the bathroom was always spotless and easy to use. They have really thought of everything including earplugs just in case someone is snoring! The hour drive to Jackson is also super peaceful and beautiful.

The Hideaway Hostel is a very good value with a location 20 minutes from the Grand Targhee Resort (my focus) and about 5 minutes from Driggs ID. I stayed in one of the private rooms (there are mult-person bunkrooms on the lower level) which was a large room with comfortable bed, DirecTV, a futon, and a very large en suite bathroom with shower and jetted tub. There is a pleasant sitting area on the main floor and an equipped kitchen so guests can fix their own meals (the grocery store in Driggs has lots of good ready-to-heat meals). A continental breakfast is provided.

This stay was amazing if you are solo or small group passing through. Beautiful house, very clean all around. Great porch to sit and eat or read and soak up the scenery. Had breakfast options available, and a kitchen to make your own food or store food. Town of Driggs was a short drive away, I went there for dinner. Will stay again next time I am out at Yellowstone or Grand Tetons.

Loved the experience here! Definitely a surprise to find it along the border, which makes for a great view of the Driggs Valley. The kitty on the property certainly acted as the cherry on top here, the amenities and living areas here were just perfect. I've never stayed in a hostel before but after this, I'd certainly like to more! This is not only a cheap alternative to the lodgings in Jackson, but a great place to stay overall!
