Adorable property, room was large and clean, great communication from staff re contactless check in. Loved the binder of info in the room. Only complaint is walls must be very thin because we could hear every conversation from the room next door!! Otherwise very happy, would gladly come back

Great location. Excellent choice if you’re looking to stay somewhere with charm that chains can’t offer. Motel is a throwback to the days of yore. Very cool vibe. Excellent outdoor amenities including fire pits, bocci ball, corn hole, and playground. Breathtaking views and a great place to relax.

My stay at the hotel was really cozy, it was more than I expected. The room offers everything you need, the decoration is very nice. You have quick access to Ithaca and at the same time to many natural places. Also the hospitality of the owners was very friendly.

This was my first time staying here and we will definitely try stay here again as we visit Ithaca. The place held on to its roots, but the owners have updated the rooms and they are very comfortable and clean. What a sweet property. I only wish it was spring or summer so we could have enjoyed the grounds. When you go to an owner managed property you appreciate the small details that go into making your stay special. We happened to have brought our pup on this quick trip up to Ithaca to watch our sons play lacrosse against Cornell. When we arrived to the room there was a dog sheet for the bed (smart), a towel, a water bowl and of course a treat. The room was decorated minimally with midcentury modern furniture (some looked original) and decor. I loved that they updated, but kept some of the charm. I had the pleasure of chatting with one of the owners when I grabbed a cup of coffee the morning of our departure and she could not have been lovelier. It was all around a great experience. I would highly recommend the Grayhaven if you are traveling up to Ithaca. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

What a wonderful place! This is not your parent's motel. The owners have carefully renovated with a fresh, comfortable and hip vibe. We enjoyed the short hikes and bird watching. We travel to Ithaca several times a year and this is our new place to stay.

We chose the Grayhaven Motel because of its close proximity to our planned hike. The owners have done a fantastic job renovating the hotel while maintaining the general look of a roadside motel. The shower head was one of the best I’ve used, and the bird feeder outside our window was a nice addition. I wish we could have made use of the fire pit on the property and the s’more kit provided (unfortunately it was raining). Breakfast was simple but delicious- local yogurt and a hearty granola fueled us for the hike. Overall a great experience.

The room was charming and comfortable. The bed and linens were extra nice. Beautiful grounds with flowers and a hammock!! We played Elvis records on the turntable and tried to light a fire in the pit so we could enjoy the provided s’mores making kit. I would so stay here again. Delicious granola, yogurt and juice and incredible main house.

The whole place felt frozen in time, clean, and definitely on a ‘50s kick. The bed was firm and comfortable, parking easy, grab and go breakfast options convenient (coffee, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt). The jazz playing in the main lounge areas was also cementing the vibe. Of note, the floors do creak and carry vibrations from neighbors, though expectations of this were set up front. I had a cooler in my room, no microwave nor fridge, yet I was prepared as I knew in advance. You could order something to be delivered to door if you needed. Highly recommend this place.
