If you want to stay in Old Town this is a great option- clean, quiet, amazing staff, breakfast buffet was awesome - everything we ate was fresh and delicious. Bonus point- rooftop restaurant with breathtaking sea views!!!

The personnel at the front desk is very friendly and helpful in arranging taxi transpota, giving directions for dinning , shopping , many other. I’ve stayed at the Yisam 3 times before & my experience has been acceptable. The only negative aspects I’ve encountered is that the bathrooms are very small. We loved the view from the restaurant the most. The menue was very Turkish (authentic) and I got tired of it after a couple of days. The sink was leaking in our room and the room was changed after several reminders. A lot of people are smoking around hotel (including staff). The room that we got as a replacement, had a door into internal backyard. We could not open the blinds because there were smoking men just outside of our door. This was weird. The hotel is nice considering that it is in the old town, but there are a lot of little things that need attention (mold and stains in the bathroom, missing molding and etc.) The beds were really comfy. Also...this is very typical for Istanbul - you may live in very nice building and then have ruines next to it. The same with the hotel. Some buildings on the same street looked like ruins.

Lovely view in a great location

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Staff was caring and helpful. Breakfast was okay (juice was spoiled, but otherwise a decent selection of hot and cold food was there). Soundproofing could have been better. We loved the sea view!

Coming from madina extremely tired Istanbul was hot and the room was extremely hot only to find out there was no air conditioning in the room had to leave the windows open for cool air but the street outside was very noisy

I really like the hotel and the area around. The only thing which they can improve on is to facilitate the customers a bit more. I booked 2 rooms for 5 persons but because of some confusion on the websites, it was booked for 4 persons instead of 5 but the rooms capacity was 5 persons. So they charged me around 130 US dollars extra which could have been easily avoided. Otherwise the hotel location and food were excellent.
