Hidden gem of a hotel, perfect location for sightseeing and public transport links, extremely helpful staff where nothing is too much trouble, rooms are spacious and clean, we booked the penthouse with its own private terrace balcony overlooking some of the more iconic sights of Istanbul which was fabulous, Breakfast choice was excellent with both hot and cold options. Offers airport shuttle at an additional cost which we used and found it to be very effective. Highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return.

Ideal location and simple, tasteful and quiet rooms with great showers. Staff was helpful and the rooftop breakfast buffet offered a wide array of local offerings, beautifully displayed. Really a wonderful place to sit and sip on Turkish coffee or tea while watching birds weave across the rooftops in front of the majestic mosque minarets. This hotel offers high quality and good value.

Excellent place to stay whether as a couple, family or solo. Very near to must visit tourist sites as its at Sultanahmet. Excellent front office staff. Each and every one were polite and helpful. Even helped us with our luggages when our shuttle driver could not reach the hotel front due to traffic and stopped about 40m short. The Staff definitely are a huge asset to the Hotel. Very clean and well kept lobby and rooms. Spacious too considering it was in the old city. If i was forced to leave a negative it would be breakfast but not to say it was bad but rather it was lacking in variety. Overall Tan Hotel is on our top list of places to stay if we were to visit Istanbul again.

Can’t Beat the Location

I traveled with the family. The family room was spacious and nice. The staff were super helpful. Breakfast at the rooftop was excellent with amazing views. The best thing was the location - close to all the tourist attractions! We will definitely stay here again without hesitation!

A fantastic trip to Istanbul with great service

From check in the hotel made us feel welcome and safe. The staff were attentive and helpful and were able to recommend good places. Breakfast was a teat, lots of lovely things to eat and the hotel is near some great eating/drinking locations. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will recommend to all.

Room was a little tired but spotlessly clean. Our room was cleaned and reset every day. Breakfast was good and they were happy for us to sit up in the breakfast room of an evening to watch the sun go down. It was a lovely view. Close to all the things you want to see in the faith district. Nice restaurants close by. Only issue was taxis and buses couldn’t stop outside so it was a short walk from the main road.
