The rooms, service, and location are great. Shout out to Ayberk and Mert who were very helpful during our stay. They went above and beyond to accommodate us with our specific requests. They have plenty of tea, coffee, and water at the lobby next to their bar. The restaurant at the rooftop has a great view of the city. We enjoyed the coffee pods and instant coffee machine in the rooms. We could hear a bit of noise from the restaurant upstairs , but the streets were quiet night.

Hotel and staff (Mert) was great. Very friendly and helpful. Great location and was pleasantly surprised we could use the steam room and sauna at the hotel next door. Would recommend and stay again!

Small - but who cares when you have all of Istnabul to explore - but very comfortable room. Great location with easy walking distance to the Egyptian Bazaar, a gajillion restaurants and eateries, ferry's and public transportation. Staff was tremendously helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was included and was more than ample. Definitely our go to accommodations in Istanbul

Great location with easy access to the tram, ferries and plenty of local bars and restaurants. The surrounding streets are quite quiet at night. Breakfast and gym/spa are located at another hotel a few doors up the street. Room was compact and had a musty smell, but overall was fine. I appreciated the cool bluetooth speaker.

Quite a bohemian funky hotel which we loved, in the heart of Karakoy, handy for transport links and in walking distance of many of the major sites. Breakfast was in their sister hotel down the street but choice was rather limited. No fruit or fresh salad and nothing if you were vegan. The sister hotel had a spa but the prices were outrageously high. Overall a good hotel to stay in with friendly reception staff who went above and beyond to help.

Great location near some lovely eating places and close to the Galata bridge and lots of transport links. Staff not very helpful or friendly but we didn’t need them much. Breakfast was tasty but no options just the same thing each morning. Fine for a few days but by day 5 I was a bit bored! Breakfast staff at the sister “root” hotel were terrible smoking at the entrance to breakfast room, not providing clean cups etc. Rooms were comfortable, clean and quiet. Overall a good stay but a few down sides. Great location and clean rooms. Poor staff and breakfast though tasty can get a bit repetitive

Pro’s: Great safe location. Tons of good restaurants, right near different museums and very walkable to other attractions. The hotel and room was clean. The breakfast at the hotel next door was amazing! Service there was incredible, Con’s: Way too dark, it was horrible and very small. They need better lighting not just in the rooms, the entire hotel. It was so hot in the hotel I was miserable. The AC did not work in my room. Staff was ok, it would’ve been nice if they spoke English just a little bit better. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep the hotel is fine. If you’re looking for bells and whistles you’re not going to get it. I only stayed for 2 days but I made plans to stay longer I would’ve changed hotels. Between it being so dark and hot, I would not have been able to last. Side note - the restaurant on the 6th floor is great. I was significantly over charged. I will say the food and service was fantastic. It’s not affiliated with the hotel. I was exhausted so it worked in a pinch. Much better restaurants in walking distance.

I had a great stay at SubHotel-- the staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really good, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location is great. Walking distance to the ferries, trams, and buses, as well as restaurants, cafes, and lots of historic attractions. Highly recommended if you're visiting Istanbul!
