The breakfast had fresh options and healthy ones too. They provided drinks and snacks to us. We received an upgrade to quite a big room. We found shops in the area. The room was clean. The staff were all fantastic! The only concern we had was the ‘Istanbul night music’, which might affect your ability to sleep, horns, people talking loudly, carts etc.

Great location!

Great stay in a great location. Hotel is older, but nice. Great breakfast and awesome staff! For the rate, you can't beat it. Love the hospitality of this hotel!

Very well located a few minutes walk from Beyazit tram station, allowing easy access to main sights of Istanbul. Very reasonable and had a family room. Daily room service and towels though the attention to detail on cleaning was obvious and by the end of the trip, cleaning was minimal and only towels replaced. Rooms also smelt of cigarette smoke. Air conditioning worked well. Safe box in room but electronic mechanism did not work so had to use master key. Breakfast available and free of charge but very simple, and the eggs were soggy and bland. The rest of the breakfast was lacking in taste and variety. Staff members very friendly and made lots of effort. No lift so had to lug heavy luggage up three floors with tight stairs. The staff did offer to help but it is not ideal. Bizarrely, every night dozens of deliveries of clothing would be sent in boxes to the hotel and sit in the lobby then be emptied out overnight. Not really sure what was going on. However at this price point, if you are on a tight budget and need a place to stay for a few days, this is doable but you may find it better to spend £20 a night extra to stay somewhere a bit more upscale.

No extra shell space, no napkins napkin & extra cabbage can, no cup for brushing, no self-control air/hot conditioning. No extra space/shell in toilet, Not enough clothing space/hanger! Carpet is torned.

The hosts were really nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast was a decent spread. The property is central and close to Grand bazaar, blue mosque and hagia Sophia. Tram station is a 6 minute walk. The only downside is absence of lift but hosts are very helpful with moving the luggage.

It was a pleasure to stay at Elyka Hotel during my visit to Istanbul. The staffs were excellent, amazing, and helpful and communication was easy with them, especially Sinan and his friends at the reception.
