Smaller, boutique hotel in a great location

I really enjoyed this smaller boutique hotel just a few blocks away from Taksim Square and about 1 mile (or less) from the Bosphorous. It was located at the end of a street, so no traffic going by (which made it quiet). It was very close to many restaurants, shopping, banks, etc. It was clean and the front desk staff were very helpful.

Great view of Bosphorus

Balcony rooms have a nice view. Steps away to Beyoğlu and restaurants in cihangir. The orange trees were blooming nearby filling the street with beautiful perfume. My favorite place in Istanbul.

The hotel was in a bad location. Mid-way up a mountain. I was deceived into thinking the hotel had a view over the lake because the advertisement showed a view. The room was small. I booked a room with two beds and got a room with a double bed. The 2nd night we were moved to an accessible room with 2 beds. The breakfast was great. The property was hard to reach, especially by night. The taxis did not want to go there. We had to walk out the streets to get taxis. We had to pay extra to return to the hotel one night. The hotel called several times for taxis for us, but each time, none was available. I regretted staying there.
