The hotel has a beautiful location right by the water. The room was well equipped and the shower was great. The breakfast selection was nice, although a bit limited at later hours. Overall, a pleasant stay!

Property is older so rooms were small but beds were comfortable. Breakfast had lots of options and it was nice not to have to leave the hotel. We found good restaurants for dinner in Breakin ( Red Skye) & Bradford (Claymore) a 10-15 min drive away. Kyleakin is a a good hour to the hikes on the Trotternish Peninsula and 30 min to Portree so you need to plan around that travel time.

The hotel has a great view of the harbor which is so lovely! The hotel could be so much more charming just by simplifying the hodge-podge and sprucing it up a bit, it does have character. The rooms had some issues like very old carpet, mildew in the bathroom, the bathroom fan sounded like a 747, and the beds were not very comfortable. The manager so kindly accommodated the booking error with twin beds instead of a double bed.
