This was an excellent place to stay but expensive. But worth it as a treat. But the old saying you get what you pay for is certainly applies to this place! The front desk was unbelievable. They took your bags upstairs for you. They catered to every whim. I would definitely recommend this place. The food was excellent.

The property and staff were great, but for the price i expected more, dinner menu limited and very small portions, £5 added to.bill for cheeseboard of which, cheese was very standard. A nice but expensive place to stay.

We had a really lovely room, spacious, warm, together with a large modern bathroom. We ate a.meal the first night, it was okay but not wonderful. Very poor vegetables and expensive at a set price £38.00 each. Add on expensive wine, a very ordinary one. The bar was nice with a fire, but again prices in the bar on the high side Overall ,the accomodation and breakfasts were good, but the dinner could be improved. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and the setting around the hotel lovely.
