Fabulous location overlooking the sea; wonderful views of the coast and hillsides from the room we were given ; very helpful and efficient staff, including advice on buying goods made on Arran; tasty food including great seafood selection.
We stayed one night. A small room but clean. We sat in the garden for a drink. Breakfast was good, we did not eat in the restaurant for our evening meal. Excellent position and we enjoyed a sunny afternoon so a bonus.
Excellent stay, with upgrade given for no extra costs. Lovely breakfast, Angela very attentive and professional with her service. Would definitely stay again
The glenisle was a great stay ,
The room was very spacious with a modern/updated feel to it , everything was clean , view out of window was great ( the beach and holy isle ) especially at sunrise
Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from ,
Beach was right across the road , supermarket 2 min walk and ferry 10 min drive
Joy was very accommodating with nothing too much bother as was the owner whom we also met on our 2nd night
This property also serves afternoon and evening meals at really great prices and tastes great ,
Having stayed in many hotels/b&b in arran , this is one of the best we’ve visited and we’ll definitely be back
When booking in we were told that we were staying not in the hotel but an annexe building. The path to this building was obstructed by a rusty iron gate on the ground. The room had a Yale lock but no handle. The room had wall paper hanging off the ceiling, the shower was filthy and the plinth was missing. The furniture and carpet were stained. The room and bathroom were both very small. When we complained that the room bore no resemblance to the pictures on Expedia’s website we were told that the hotel was full.
However they did promptly arrange alternative accommodation for us at another hotel.
From the moment we stepped inside Glenisle, the ambiance of the place and the management and staff were second to none and we'll definitely be revisiting that's for certain. 😊😊
