Absolutely perfect for our wedding day & night. Unfortunately as it was such a busy time we didn't get to use the hot tub, fire pit. But would definitely recommend staying longer and making use of facilities.

Executive lodges a real treat

Amazing as always! Shame 1869 still not doing food, and they had run out of some of the components for simple cocktails (classic martini) the exec lodges are so relaxing, and we hope to be back again soon.

Comfort and Tranquility

We stayed in an executive retreat with two dogs and it was perfect. A real haven of comfort and tranquility. The only improvement in the retreat would be an oven tray for warming food, so that's pretty minor! The resort is lovely and has something for everyone. A perfect, relaxing holiday with pets.

Excellent resort

Excellent trip. Room was very well kept and clean, facilities are excellent (especially the spa) and great location (even if you're not driving, very easy to get to with use of the free shuttle service. Only small negative I would say is that the evening menu in Cruize (one of the three restaurants in the spa resort section of the hotel) was fairly average; not bad by any means but not great either, though the breakfast and lunch was very good. However, Brambles is an excellent restaurant and we had two brilliant dinners there.

We stayed at the Auchrannie resort for 3 nights. Staff are very friendly, proactive and helpful. The hairdryer broke and we had a new one delivered within 5 minutes. Our children made excellent use of the pool and breakfast was well stocked and delicious. The room was really hot but there was a fan which we plugged in and that sorted that problem. Would def recommend.

Lovely stay

As a whole, the hotel was clean, mostly updated, had nice amenities, and very friendly helpful staff. The onsite restaurant accommodated our last minute reservation and the food and wine was fantastic. Spa was lovely (no hot tub though). The only real drawback was that our room was up MANY flights of very narrow stairs. We had 3 large military bags and 2 carry-ons so navigating this was difficult. Would have loved an elevator!

Was without a doubt the nicest hotel I've ever stayed in. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Me and my girlfriend were enjoying the balcony after dinner just enjoying the view. When one of the waitresses came out and asked if we wanted her to take a picture of us. We had wanted to ask, but didnt want to bother anyone. Just the little touches like that made us feel so comfortable and welcomed

We liked Cruise for dinner, we never sat at the restaurant area, instead we opted for the comfortable couches at the other end. We always stay in the Old House part of the resort as we love the sitting room with the open fire plus the dimly lit sitting room, which is so incredibly relaxing. For us, what really ruined our stay was the amount of kids in the pool in the Old House. There is another pool area in the new building, which we felt should be where families go if the have kids. Instead, there were families with kids at the pool in the old house, and it totally ruined the tranquility of what is supposed to be a Spa Experience. We came for the purpose of relaxation, and the pool area is a big part of that, so it was disappointing that the resort doesnt have an Asukts Only Pool and Spa area - they do have the pool in the Old House as Adults Only from 8pm till 9pm, but 1 hour simply doesnt cut it, in fact no where near good enough. So this is why we have given an overall score of 3 stars.

We stayed in a ground floor room in the main resort and had a person in the room above constantly walking around for over an hour in the evening and the morning from 7am. The floorboards in the resort are very creeky and there appears to be no sound proofing between them. I wore headphones and is still sounded like there was a thunderstorm going on.

The hotel was great. Lots to do for the children, beautiful location and surroundings. The staff were all warm and friendly. But the room above us was exceptionally noisy; we complained on our first night but the noise didn’t stop. If the bedroom had been quieter it would have been perfect!

Few Amenities, Too Many Fees

I stayed at the resort for one night. Everyone should know that the advertising is not accurate. There is no hot tub in the spa and there are no additional amenities such as ropes and shower shoes. It’s quite slippery so be careful! Also for some strange reason, you’re charged a pound to use the locker which feels ridiculous after paying so much money for a room and so few amenities at a spa. In the room, there’s no bottled water. There’s also no store on the properties. I bought a bottle of water at the restaurant and it was 7 pounds. Nearly the cost of a cheap bottle of wine! Resorts in this price range are usually more inclusive of basic needs. If you have children that need space to run around this is a good place but if you’re an adult looking to have a luxurious stay, this is not the place.
