Vacations Close To Irazu Volcano National Park

This place is a hidden gem in the city. Once you're inside it is like a small very secure and semi-private resort. It is well maintained and beautiful inside. Food served was perfect and the staff is so friendly. I got lucky finding this place and if you're staying in San Jose this is a great place to be.

If you want ultimate rainforest luxury and top level service you should stay here. Not to be missed. Raft in and out via the Pacuare river and be completely enveloped by the forest and river in the middle of nowhere while having high level meals breakfast, lunch and dinner, incredible adventure programs like zip lining through the canopy and repelling down little waterfall. Seriously. 1000% The food was top tier. The service was thoughtful and personal. The staff is amazing. And they have great wifi. In the middle of nowhere. Deep jungle. The rafting is world class. I had a Linda vista villa and it was an absurd amount of space and privacy with a personal plunge pool. Come back from dinner and your lights are on, fan going and curtains drawn. Seriously, stay here. I'm coming back again someday.

If you want to be right in the middle of nature and wildlife this is the place to go. Most of the resort is raised up into the treetops so you can be eye level with creatures you'd usually only see way above you from the ground. The included hikes and birdwatching were wonderful with very knowledgeable and passionate guides. We also arranged a day trip to Corcovado by boat through the lodge in advance, seems pricey at first but was well worth it. Over the course of a week we saw sloths (lodge & Corcovado), monkeys (everywhere), tapirs (Corcovado), ant eaters (lodge and Corcovado), coatis (lodge), frogs and lizards (lodge) and so many different birds (everywhere). We chose a forest bungalow room which is just screened in from the outside. I was a bit worried the lack of AC might make it too hot to sleep, but at the end of April the fans in the room were enough to keep us comfortable over night. No need for alarm clocks, the howler monkeys will get you up every day. Overall a fantastic nature focused lodge that combines the ability to relax with adventure.

Todo el personal sumamente amable

El día que llegamos llovía mucho, en el hotel prestan sombrillas para los huéspedes, faltan más opciones techadas en el área de piscinas y sillas, ya que si simplemente se quiere estar sentado o acostado a la orilla de las termales no se puede si esta lloviendo mucho. El staff muy amable, debido a tanta lluvia no hicimos los senderos pero si se ve como una opción interesante de hacer. Respecto a las habitaciones, limpias, cómodas y bonitas pero las cortinas deberían de cambiar a Blackout ya que al amanecer (5am), dejan pasar demasiada luz a la habitación. El restaurante, el desayuno estaba bien.
