The main staff member, Elizabeth, made our stay feel extremely unwelcoming from the moment we arrived. She immediately told us no partying, no music, and no more than two people allowed on the balcony, before we had even done anything to warrant those warnings. We were also reprimanded for being “too loud” at the pool when we were simply having a normal conversation.
What made the situation even more concerning was that, after speaking with other guests at the hotel, we learned that they had not received the same warnings, or restrictions, that we experienced. This made us feel as though we were being singled out from the moment we arrived, despite not having done anything to warrant that treatment.
Elizabeth’s demeanor during was unnecessarily rude and made us feel as though we were intruding rather than paying guests. It was only after someone asked what exactly we were doing wrong that her attitude suddenly changed and became more pleasant. Unfortunately, by that point, the initial experience had already left a very negative impression.
The cleanliness of the room was also unacceptable. We had an ant infestation, stains on the sheets, and overall the room did not feel properly cleaned.
Between the way we were treated and the condition of the room, we never felt comfortable or welcome during our stay. A hotel should make its guests feel relaxed and taken care of, not as though they are constantly being watched, singled out, or reprimanded. I would not stay here again.
