The hotel is a beautiful manor house built as a hunting lodge originally. The rooms are spacious and the food was very good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely place to stay!

Front of house Vijay could not have been more helpful. We asked to upgrade room and was moved immediately. Room 17 was spacious with views over the garden. The lounge’s atmospheric- antiques and cabinets full of whiskey bottles. Set price dinner £34 for two courses was excellent. Good delicious and well worth a visit. Same for cooked breakfast. First it's not a castle hotel! We paid the premium to enjoy the scotish castle vibe, but there's none whatsoever. I booked via Expedia where the room was described have sea view - there was none, even worse, our room was on the ground floor far way from any other room, right next to parking lot. There was no castle vibe whatsoever, staff was friendly but quite short handed. There were drunk male group in the lobby chatting loudly and staff stayed away. Given the price paid, I'd give it 0 but to be honest, the room itself was big and clean, so...

This place is as comfortable as it is charming. Our room was spacious and included nice touches like bathrobes, a towel warmer, sparkling water, and an espresso machine. Breakfast includes a freshly cooked item from the menu plus continental buffet, and it's all delicious. We had dinner at the on-site restaurant one night and it was fabulous. Finally, the staff is amazing. Highly recommend!

We had seen mixed reviews about other people's stays and were a bit apprehensive about what to expect. We could NOT have had a more fantastic stay. Staff were extremely attentive and welcoming especially Veejay( the manager), Gary, Anne and Nadine. We are a family of 6 ( 3 adult couples) and it was the perfect highland base for exploring the area. Food was fresh and was made from scratch. Leave time for leisurely meals. Specially props for breakfast pancakes. Rooms were spacious and beds extremely comfy with beautiful views. Lots of communal spaces to enjoy family time and hang out. Highly recommend !!

Excellent castle manor building with a relaxed vibe and attentive staff. Great views across the Cromarty Firth and nice grounds. Watch for the ponies, rabbits, birds and roaming robot mowers! Breakfast and food in the restaurant is very good. Lounge and bar are very comfortable and the whole place is tastefully decorated. We had a large attic room which was warm and comfortable.

Staff very friendly and welcoming - Veejay was wonderful upon check in and showed us round before we headed up to our room. Our room was very spacious and our 14 year old appreciated the separate room he had! We were leaving early on our departure day and so it was organised for us to be able to go down to the breakfast room and have continental breakfast which was greatly appreciated! We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

We had 2 rooms and both were beautiful and perfect for those travelling. Staff were super attentive and so friendly, nothing was a problem. Breakfast is fantastic. We tried every disj while there and couldnt fault any of them. Our fussy 2 year old was delighted and the staff were super friendly with him. Gary the night manager was fantartic had some great stories and advice for us. Sad we had to leave without saying goodbye but we will be back. We loved everything about it!
