“Front of house Vijay could not have been more helpful. We asked to upgrade room and was moved immediately. Room 17 was spacious with views over the garden. The lounge’s atmospheric- antiques and cabinets full of whiskey bottles. Set price dinner £34 for two courses was excellent. Good delicious and well worth a visit. Same for cooked breakfast. Top notch”

“Our experience at Tuckers Inn was rather underwhelming overall. It quickly became apparent that the ground-floor pub and restaurant are the main focus of the business, with the accommodation upstairs feeling like a bit of an afterthought to bring in extra income. Check-in was very transactional: we were simply handed a key and given a vague wave towards the stairs to find the room ourselves, with no basic orientation or info provided. We even had to head back down to the bar later just to ask...
