THE most beautiful, generous and delicious breakfast I have ever eaten! That alone is worth the stay but the location is also excellent, right by the Altstadt and with a glorious view of the mountains.

Super convenient location. Very kind staff. Modern and comfortable room but if you prefer a bathroom with more than a shower door between you and other travellers this hotel is not for you. I don’t know why so many modern hotels are going in this direction. I purposely check this now as I hate the lack of privacy in some of these newer rooms. This one had a middle section of frosting but otherwise clear top and bottom. I really liked the hotel otherwise but wouldn’t stay there again because of this feature.

The location is great, less than a 5-minute walk to the bridge and shopping area. The room was clean and nice. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom. I couldn’t close the door properly, and the shower door also didn’t close well. I had to be really careful when taking a shower because the whole bathroom could easily get flooded.

I would certainly recommend the Maximilian hotel to anyone visiting Innsbruck. The location of the hotel is perfect with only a walk round the corner for tram and bus stops and two minutes the other way takes you to the Old Town. Staff at reception were excellent and when we asked for a kettle in the room they obliged straight away they couldn’t do enough for us. The room was very clean and housekeeping staff were spot on cleaning the room and changing towels daily. Staff at breakfast were also very attentive especially Anastasia who welcomed us each morning with a beautiful smile. If we ever return to Innsbruck we will definitely stay at the Maximilian again.
