The Mission Church of St Francis. The established Anglican church had a problem in late 19th century Cornwall, their churches were centred on pre-industrial parishes and were often remote from the new industrial settlements. The answer was to set up mission churches like this one which was built in 1884.

“I had a fantastic couple of days in Falmouth staying at Membly Hall Hotel whilst settling my daughter into the local university. My room was spacious and immaculate, the staff were welcoming and very friendly, and the included breakfast ranged from continental style to full English.
