Vacations Close To San Pedro Church

The place was clean but the photos are showing 2 places. The beds were confortable. The bedroom were not insonorated like it was written so we could ear lots of neighborhood dogs barking at night. Overall the place had everything we needed to visit that local part of Belize.

Elvis was spectacular and the food was delicious!!! The rooms were clean. We had everything we needed. The pool was perfect. The price on the food actually was really reasonable. We had a wonderful time.

The staff at Villa Massis made us feel like family from the second we walked in! The food and drinks were wonderful. The room was perfect. The property is absolutely beautiful! Joelle (spelling?) was extremely warm and helpful. He booked us a private tour to Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. Mark was our guide and the tour was incredible! Their bartender, Gio, knew exactly how to cool us off after a hot day. Lucy always had the most beautiful smile on her face. The owner (can't remember his name) was very friendly and we could tell how much love he put into this property. Everyone was so happy to see us enjoying ourselves there. The best breakfast of our entire trip to Belize was at this resort! We will 100% be back to visit and will be bringing friends next time!

The setting in the mountains is beautiful, and the place has a fun, rustic atmosphere. However, there were several disappointments during our stay. The listing advertises air conditioning, but it’s important to understand that the rooms are screened in, so the AC does not cool the entire room. You can only really feel it when you’re lying in bed with the curtains closed. Also, the air blows directly onto your face, and there’s no way to adjust the airflow. I actually had to sleep with my head at the foot of the bed to avoid having the air blow directly on me all night. On a positive note, the staff was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful. They were definitely a highlight of the experience. Unfortunately, the drinks weren’t very good, and the food was absolutely terrible. If you decide to stay here, I strongly recommend making other plans for meals rather than relying on the on-site restaurant. Overall, it’s a fun, rustic place with a beautiful mountain setting and wonderful staff, but be prepared for a very basic experience and plan to eat elsewhere.
