Lovely, clean hotel with great facilities. Convenient for the airport and a short walk to the beach at the Aldau. The staff are excellent, friendly, knowledgeable and bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. Away from the hotel complex I wouldn't feel particularly safe to venture out as a lone female at certain times but felt fine going for a run in the mornings.

I’ve rarely written a bad review because I believe most things don’t make that much impact on me. This hotel is different. Building noise, not great food, almost unusable wifi, old tired rooms, dirty in room fridge, air con that’s old and noisy and sounds like it’s about to break. The construction noise can’t be helped but I’d avoid this hotel for the next 6-8 months because the drilling and sawing went on and on and on until 8pm. It was dreadful. Staff were generally helpful and nice but I’d say I was disappointed by the room and it was just very tired and rundown.

Der Spaß begann bereits beim Check In. Wir hatten nur ein Standardzimmer gebucht. Wir wurden darauf hingewiesen dass das ja kein tolles Zimmer sei wir aber gegen entsprechenden Aufschlag ein viel schöneres Zimmer bekommen könnten. Nachdem wir das ablehnten bekamen wir wohl was wir uns mit dieser Ablehnung verdient hatten. Das älteste abgewohnteste Zimmer am hintersten Ende von Gebäude 8. Auf dem Hof unter dem Zimmer wurden von Handwerkern Fließen geschnitten, entsprechend die Geräuschentwicklung. Ergebnis wir haben ein anderes Zimmer gegen Aufpreis genommen was durch den Herrn an de Rezeption mit einem sehr selbstgefälligen Grinsen veranlasst wurde. Warten mussten wir trotzdem noch 3 Stunden auf das andere Zimmer. Grundsätzlich ist die Anlage sehr schön und top sauber. Im All inklusive bekommt man aber einfach nur Standard doch gegen Aufpreis ist quasi alles möglich. Das hat uns doch tatsächlich sehr enttäuscht. In vergangenen Urlauben in Hotels schlechterer Kategorien haben wir einen deutlich besseren Service erlebt und hatten an Steigenberger eine entsprechende Erwartung. Von den 9 Pools waren nur 2-3 tatsächlich beheizt was Mitte März dann leider noch sehr erfrischend war. Im Hauptrestaurant gab es nach 4-5 Tagen keine wirklichen Neuigkeiten mehr, bis auf kleine Varianzen mehr oder weniger immer das gleiche.

Unser Aufenthalt im Hotel hatte einige positive, aber auch mehrere verbesserungswürdige Aspekte. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der Wasserspielplatz. Für Kinder ist er wirklich toll gestaltet und war für unsere Familie definitiv das Highlight des Aufenthalts. Hier konnten sich die Kinder lange beschäftigen und hatten viel Spaß. Leider konnte das Essen im Hotelrestaurant nicht überzeugen. Geschmacklich war es eher enttäuschend, und auch das lokale Restaurantangebot konnte uns nicht wirklich begeistern. Der Check-in verlief ebenfalls nicht ganz optimal. Ein Hinweis darauf, dass eine Reservierung im Restaurant sinnvoll oder sogar notwendig ist, wäre sehr hilfreich gewesen. Mit kleinen Kindern waren nur noch zeitlich sehr späte Reservierungen am Abend möglich.   Auch die Umgebung bietet für Familien nur wenige Freizeitmöglichkeiten. Wer mit kleinen Kindern unterwegs ist und Ausflüge oder Aktivitäten plant, findet in der näheren Umgebung leider nicht viele Angebote. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt in Ordnung, vor allem wegen des schönen Wasserspielplatzes. In den Bereichen Gastronomie, Service beim Check-in und Informationen für Gäste gibt es jedoch noch Verbesserungspotenzial.

Jättetrevligt hotell, god mat (glöm inte att omgående boka bord på a la carte-restaurangerna om du stannar mer än fem nätter annars får du inte bord, men skippa skaldjuren), roligt för barn med alla vattenrutschkanor, pingisbord, dart, TV-spelsrum mm. En liten bit att gå till stranden, men de kör en golfbil i shuttletrafik om du inte orkar gå. På stranden får man låna en trampbåt vilket är trevligt och vi gjorde även en utflykt med båt som man kunde boka in på stranden, mycket bra. Dona i guest service var fenomenal! Så serviceminded och hjälpsam.

Das Zimmer war nicht ausreichend sauber. Bereits ab dem ersten Aufenthaltstag mussten wir mehrfach um frische Handtücher bitten, da diese nicht automatisch gewechselt wurden. Der allgemeine Reinigungsstandard war deutlich unter dem, was bei einer All-Inclusive-Leistung zu erwarten ist. Trotz freundlichem Personal wurde das Zimmer täglich nur unzureichend geputzt. Am vierten Tag baten wir schließlich um einen Zimmerwechsel, da das ursprüngliche Zimmer direkt an der Straße lag und es dadurch nahezu unmöglich war zu schlafen. Auffällig war außerdem, dass uns das Personal täglich verschiedene Angebote, wie z. B. Weine oder Reservierungen in den Themenrestaurants, unterbreiten wollte, die zusätzlich kostenpflichtig waren, obwohl wir All-Inclusive gebucht hatten. Bei einer Ablehnung reagierten einige Mitarbeiter unfreundlich, was den Gesamteindruck zusätzlich negativ beeinflusst hat.
