One-night stay, I didn't use the bar or restaurant. Breakfast was good, choices of continental, choices in cooked dishes. Staff were approachable and helpful, check-in good. Free parking. The room could use renovation, bathroom especially - sink taps not matching, top of cold tap broken; towel radiator hot (could not switch off - in a heat wave). Everything was clean.

Very helpful staff both on reception and bar/restaurant. Such a shame that the surrounding area has deteriorated so much, I could not recognise it at all. So sad.

My stay in the hotel is really nice . It needs to improve the bathroom/shower room- water flow where I am was really bad. Shower water flow is bad . There’s not much compartment in the shower/ toilet to put my personal toiletries . Staff are very friendly .

Extremely tired and no frills. We don't understand how they can charge so much for a room. Breakfast lady was very officious and unfriendly. Unfortunately there isn't much choice in Huntingdon, so have to stay there as our daughter lives here.

On request section on Hotel.com booking I requested as few steps as possible ( having noted pictures suggested all bedrooms upstairs which would have been acceptable with 1 flight of stairs) When I booked in and got direction to room ( which was about as far from reception as a first floor room could be) I was told that it was a listed building so couldn’t have a lift Strange, as the hotel we stayed in at Easter was listed…and had a lift, The route to room not only included the stairs from reception on which the stairs lift made use of bannister difficult but also two small sets of stairs in corridor. Someone painting corridor told us that booking platforms never pass messages on to hotel. The lighting in bathroom was poor. The light above the mirror was so high it didn’t touch the face and the shower curtain obscured the ma in light making putting on make up difficult. The floor in the room was the most uneven I have ever met. Other, older listed buildings ( such as in Suffolk) have sloping floors but nothing as uneven as this. I felt the listed building designation was used as an excuse. Clearly the room hadn’t been freshened up since Covid; there was still a sticker on the door as you left the room to remind you to mask up in public areas!

The hotel is in a great location, although it can be a little noisy in the early hours due to people walking along the high street. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and a good-sized TV. The biggest disappointment was the tired-looking bathroom. The sink drained very slowly, and every time it was used, a foul smell filled the room. I reported the issue to reception at the start of my stay and was assured that maintenance would look into it, but unfortunately nothing had changed by the time I checked out three days later. On a positive note, the restaurant was pleasant and the breakfast was of good quality. Overall, I had a reasonable stay, but the bathroom issue would make me think twice. I would consider staying again if I couldn't find a better alternative.

On check in the gentleman was cheerful and helpful. Explained night porter service, bar and food times and where n when breakfast was with no prompts. Bar staff were cheerful and amenable. Parking was easy and plentiful. Hotel guest parking is free. Had an evening meal which was good. Bar runs a happy hour. Breakfast is continental and cooked. Cooked breakfast is prepared to order and arrived hot and perfectly cooked 5*

I enjoyed staying at the George Hotel again. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room was good and clean. It is a historic building so full of character. I enjoyed my evening meal and the breakfast was good. I would stay here again when in the area.

Staff were amazing, friendly and helpful. It's lovely but its an old building so that reflects in the rooms. Other than being a bit dated, everything that could be clean and well presented was. The sheets were immaculate as well as the towels. The bathroom was a bit dated, but the shower was great! It was really hot over the weekend and the windows don't stay open. A fan was provided so that helped with the heat in the room but it was still very hot in there.

Welcoming and friendly staff. Easy parking, pleasant, sunny courtyard. Room was spacious and clean, comfortable bed, an extra table & comfortable chairs. Breakfast was very nice, eggs were perfectly poached. We had a couple of meals in the bar and they were delicious.
