Check in personnel was friendly. Amble room in parking lot. Room was a bit crowded with a small not running refrigerator that had been replaced but not removed from the room. About 1' of molding near bottom side of door was missing leaving daylight. Grateful it wasn't snowing and Blowing ... LOL. Room had smell of cigarette smoke. The price was right for only needing to be in / at the room for sleeping. Knew what we were getting before we booked & arrived.

I want to start by stating the staff was amazing here, but, the property was extremely dirty & very run down. The room was somewhat remodeled but was previously smoked in for years and you cant erase that smell. Since the hallways and other property locations were so dirty, i questioned the cleaniness of the bedding, i slept in my clothes bc i just felt it was dirty. Again, the people are great but cleaning the entry way and hallways and eliminating the smoke smell or at least being honest about it wouldve helped me want to stay for the entire 4 weeks i was working in town. I moved hotels after the first night.

Hotel manager was very accommodating and personable. We had one of the not yet renovated rooms but it was clean and good value for the price. I appreciate this hotel is pet friendly and has a nice little area for walking dogs

The girl at the front desk was awesome and helped with some room issues. She was a gem!! The place is in terrible shape. Pool was down. 😢 The room was not clean. Very dusty and dirt on the floor. Not sure if the sheets were actually fresh. 😬 I wouldn't stay there again.

Staff was great! I showed up super early to check in because we lost power at Trollhaugen. Even in the midst of a renovation, and a panic of other guests, they were able to get me a room within 20 mins to accommodate me! If I’m ever back to Trollhaugen, this is where I’ll be staying. Anthony was great!

This property is under new management. Anthony was amazing. He went above and beyond to take care of us and make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were clean, pool was warm, and our requests were taken care of. There is a restaurant next door with THE best cheese curds and lots of trails and activities nearby. Would definitely stay here again.

When I booked the room online via Expedia, the room that I selected by the pictures that were posted, was NOT the room that we were assigned!! This property is undergoing small and very slow renovations and only a few rooms have been remodeled! FALSE ADVERTISING by either the hotel or Expedia!! When I inquired to the hotel and to Expedia about the discrepancy all I got was a game of shift blaming the other…. “It’s Expedia’s fault for putting incorrect information on their site” to “it’s the hotel’s fault for putting you in a room that wasn’t available!” If you look at their profile on Expedia, it shows only the new remodeled rooms and that is false advertising as less than 10% of the hotels entire property is renovated!! To add to the train wreck was that there wasn’t any hot water to shower! Cell phone coverage is crap so couldn’t get a signal- thank God there wasn’t any emergencies!! Broken dresser that had a drawer missing! The only ok thing was that the bed was comfortable and clean! I’m not a high maintenance person so I can adjust to about any circumstance however I do NOT like being lied to, manipulated, and or taken advantage of! I would like to believe that the owners of this property are trying to repair and renovate to better the property however someone is lying, manipulating the advertised info on Expedia?! This property is in a beautiful area, it’s just run down and needs so much work. Be careful before you book and make sure you know what you are getting!

This was a “good enough” stay for a night. The proximity to the things we wanted to do/see was good. The staff were friendly and my partner loved that they had a sauna. It’s a cheap hotel—nothing fancy, but it was quiet, the bed was comfortable enough, and the price was right.
