The hotel itself needs a little bit of updating in terms of decor, but the room we stayed in was fine for us and was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was OK (the water pressure was a bit low) and it was nice having a full sized fridge in the room. The staff were always friendly and it was an ideal base for visiting family in Halifax

It failed to live up to its Yorkshire welcome! The hotel was dead inside being in almost all darkness apart from the reception desk. Outside the hotel looked promising, and although I was aware that there was no restaurant or bar. I did expect there to be a lounge sitting area but not lit. The room was clean and adequate but no character the local white Swan pub although advertising meals did not serve food. There is a small Italian restaurant in 10 minutes walking distance which was excellent. I will not return to this hotel.

Reasonable price

Budget best western which was a good price and near where we needed to be the following day. Clean and comfortable rooms. Corridors a little tired the outside looks a little scruffy. Didn't have breakfast as it was only continental. Near m62 but secondary glazing made sure we couldn't hear traffic noise. Best bit was seeing deer outside the window.

After checking in we learned that the property had previously (and possibly currently) was used to house refugees and was currently being used to house some very unsavory characters who were under investigation by the police. While the hotel staff were pleasant, the people hanging around the reception area were very sketchy and made the place feel dangerous. We stayed for three nights and the threat increased with time. I expected more from a Best Western and would not recommend that anyone stay here. I will certainly not stay there again.

Very poor upkeep of building and rooms. Room was unclean and very dilapidated. Paid £9 for breakfast which was a tiny plate of mini muffins and mini croissants to choose from. Drinks machine with only tea cups available which meant the contents ran out into the machine and spilled over. Would definitely not recommend staying here.

The room we had was spacious . However bed was tucked into a little corner . One side of bed space was narrow so no bedside table , you had to duck down to get passed because of ceiling and bed frame was apart in the middle so kept catching toes . The toilet flush was poor, had to flush many time to get tissue to go.

It was Okay. The pillows were not fluffy. The bed was okay. The shower lacked power. Only offer continental breakfast. We stayed here a few years back, and it was better back then. Worth the price, but don't expect anything special.
